When do I use my footrest on my e-trike?

Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry, and today we're going to answer the question, " When do I use my footrest on my e-trike? Well, I'm on the Simple Glide Fat Tire 750 Watt e-trike, and we're cruising through some neighborhoods here. And this e-trike has a footrest, which is awesome if you like to cruise around, take a break, or maybe if you're someone who is not able to pedal, but you want something more powerful than a scooter to get out and enjoy the outdoors. We got a footrest here on the Simple Glide. Now, when are you going to use that footrest? Well, we got a dead end up here. So lots of times, right? Obviously, you can pedal. But let's say you're going let's say you're going for a relatively long journey, right? Maybe five, 10, 15 miles. If that's the case, sometimes it's nice to just change the position of your body, right? To kind of like, um, put more pressure on certain areas so you don't get sore. So like, let's say you've been out for five miles and you're like, Oh, you know, my, my butt's hurting, or my legs are tired. It's like, okay, I can just go ahead and flip this down. Oh, Kind of lean forward.

Look, I can slide my butt forward a little bit. And now I can just get the ultimate relaxed position for riding, right? So it's really a whole different type of riding position that just gives you even more... Oh, I'm gonna turn here. Oh, we'll go straight. Okay, straight it is. So it's an even more comfortable, I'm really just leaning back, got my feet up, and I'm going to go through this trail here. And you can still steer and navigate easily while you're sitting with the footrest down. So, you know, when would you use it? You'd use it when you want to take a break, when you want to change a position. And, you know, even now it's like, OK, that's good. I had my little break. Right. And, you know, now maybe in the mood, just flip this back again, slide my butt back a little bit. And now I'm kind of back to my pedaling position. Right. So totally up to you. It just gives you that. a little bit more variance in how you ride. If you're looking for an e-trike and want something comfortable with a footrest, this is a really good choice.
