Industry Shipping Practices and Hidden Costs

Talking about the industry as a whole, most of the brands I know all seem to offer nationwide shipping for free in the continental United States. Obviously, Hawaii and Alaska are different. But from all the brands I know, the shipping is included in the price. Now, I can't speak to their return policy and their restocking fee. If you do find a trike and they are charging a shipping fee, well then you still might wanna do a price comparison of that trike plus the shipping, plus another trike, including the shipping. Because at the end of the day, if someone like us, if we offer free shipping, of course we do have to build in some fee to our price to account for the shipping, right? The reason we build it in mostly is it's a simplified process, right? What you see is what you get for the price. So it's not like you add it to the cart, and then all of a sudden it's like $350 on top of the price that you saw. So that is maybe a technique some brands use to advertise a lower price.

And then when you get to the checkout, obviously you're gonna tack on that $350 for shipping. So again, there are lots of brands out there. Of course, if you purchase on Amazon, most likely that's gonna be free shipping as well. But you're also going to want to look at the return policy, like I said, because just because the shipping to you is free doesn't mean the return shipping is going to be free. And I've seen this, unfortunately, happen to a lot of customers that come to us. They bought a trike online, they didn't like it, and now the brand is telling them, " Okay, well, if you want to send it back, it's going to cost you $300. So we don't do that here. Free shipping both ways. If you decide to return it, we just want to ensure that you love your eTrike.
