We Took an Electric Trike Into Stores—Here’s What Happened: Is This the Ultimate Mobility Trike?

Hi everyone, I’m Dustin, and I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. Today, I'm joined by George, who is riding the sixthreezero EZ Transit folding e-trike. We’re here to show you just how incredibly maneuverable this e-trike is, especially in typically tight spaces. Testing the Maneuverability test today involved navigating an outlet mall, treating the trike as George's power-driven mobility device. We took the EZ Transit onto the elevator and then cruised around the mall, including a stop inside a very tight Starbucks. If you’re considering using this device for mobility, please check with local private businesses for availability. However, under the ADA law, if you have a mobility issue and this is your preferred device, it should be allowed in most public-facing locations. After his ride through the outdoor mall and the tight quarters of Starbucks, George had a chance to share his experience: I navigated as easily on the trike as I would have if I’d walked in," George said. "It was hassle-free and very easy. The steering is simple—it turns as easily as you would turn when you’re walking, taking all the sharp curves with no problem whatsoever. I even spotted George confidently steering with one hand and a coffee in the other while using the throttle! While we don't always recommend single-handed riding, you can certainly get comfortable. We also offer a cup holder accessory to make cruising around with your favorite beverage simple. We finished the day with some shopping at a Calvin Klein store. We checked in advance with all the stores before filming, but please note that most stores should allow entry if you have a mobility issue or disability and this is your preferred mode of transportation, as required by ADA compliance.
