Three of the most stable electric trikes out there. Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. Today I'm gonna show you three of the most stable electric trikes there are. All right, so right here, I've got three electric trikes from Sixthreezero, the Reverse fat tire e-trike, the Simple Glide 750 watt fat tire, and the Relaxed body 750 watt e-trike. Now, let's start down here at this reverse e-trike, and what makes it so stable? Now, 16-inch by four-inch front wheels, 20-inch by four-inch rear wheels, but the cool thing on this E-Trike is that you have this forward tilting steering. Now, if you wanna see more information on this one and videos, we've got lots of them on our website and our YouTube channel, and all these are linked in the description if you wanna check them out. The one thing about this E-Trike is that the rider has to steer to balance it. It doesn't balance on its own. Now, why am I saying it's one of the most balanced?
Because when you're up and moving on this and keeping the handlebars straight, this is absolutely one of the most stable trikes because of how the steering leans. You can corner sharply. It's gonna feel like a two-wheel bike, but you have the added support of the extra wheel, and of course, on this version with the four-inch fat tires, it makes it even more stable around turns, so you're never going to have to have a tire lift off the ground in this kind of configuration. Now, again, if you're a rider who cannot balance or steer at all, and you just want to sit on your trike and be on three wheels, this is not the option for you. But if you're someone who just needs a little added help, and you want to be able to corner and lean and have it feel like a two-wheel bike, this is it, and the reverse tilting steering is cool, really fun, and like I said, impossible to tip over. I hate to use the word impossible, but it's true. You'd have to corner very, very sharply for that to happen, and if you go and check out my videos, you'll see you can corner very sharply. We'll go ahead and take care of this garbage. You can corner very sharply on the reverse e-trike, more so than even a two-wheel bike.
All right, now moving on to the Simple Glide 750 watt. This is a 750-watt rear-mounted motor. And this has an elongated frame with a raked-out fork, which makes a very stable base. If you elongate the frame, you add stability to trikes. And in addition to that, we've coupled it with these four-inch wide tires, the 20-inch in the rear and the 16-inch in the front, creating a very stable base. You can fly on this trike and not worry about lifting your rear wheels. That added length to the frame makes it incredibly stable. And with the four-inch-wide tires, you add that additional width. Again, that makes it very, very stable. This is a cool e-trike. You have this office chair style here. You have a fold-down footrest that's optional to use if you just want to use the throttle to cruise. And again, you have a 750-watt motor. That can take you up hills and around town. And you also have a throttle and five levels of assistance if you want to pedal. The frame also folds for easy transportation. And a 15-amp-hour battery that provides up to 50 miles of range. And the reverse e-trike has a 20-amp-hour battery that can get you up to 65 miles of range. So, very stable here.
Now moving on to the Relaxed body, this is a semi-recumbent. You'll see how long this frame is, even longer than the simple glide, which again creates a stable base. This is another one where you can corner very sharply. It stays balanced. You've got three-inch-wide tires on this version, so not as wide as the four-inch, but it still creates a nice base. The other thing that we've done is we've added 20-inch wheels on the rear, 24-inch on the front. To set it lower in the back, again, to keep more stability with these rear wheels. Having this basket in the back as well, the added weight keeps the back weighted down, so you can turn, and you can navigate. Again, this is not a trike that's easy to tip by any means. You can corner sharply, and with that length, the low center of gravity also stays very stable. Now you've got the 750-watt motor back here as well. This is a very powerful e-trike that you can take on hills. Riders up to 350 pounds can go on this and utilize the throttle or the five levels of pedal assist. Also, have this optional seat you can add on with the backrest, which makes it exceptionally comfortable. and you can see the pedals are moved forward, which is why we call it a semi-recumbent, because you're pedaling out in front of your body instead of straight below. Another feature that makes it comfortable and relaxed on its design, and because of that, you've got a seat lower to the ground, lower center of gravity for easier mounting and dismounting.
So, three of the most stable e-trikes that are out there are because of the elongated frame, the wider tires, also the tilting steering. One other thing I wanted to mention on these two is they also have rear differentials. What a rear differential does is supply power to both of the rear wheels. So, on a normal, not a normal, but on a standard trike, you're only gonna get power to one wheel. So if you're on a turn and a wheel lifts off, you might not be able to power that turn to help you get out of that situation. In a rear differential, you'll always be able to have power to both tires. Also, it's gonna help a lot with traction, slick ground, you'll be able to have one tire find the traction to get through the slick surface. So that's something to remember as well.
