This Recumbent E Trike is AMAZING! Unique Seat & Incredible Comfort on this Electric Tricycle

Taking a ride on my Simple Glide 500 Watt Recumbent Etrike. Hey everyone I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and ebike industry. And today I'm going to take you on a ride with me on my Simple Glide 500-watt Recumbent Electric Trike. We have other YouTube videos on our channel. This is a 500-watt front hub etrike motor. We've got this office chair here. It's adjustable for riders five foot to six foot four. You can see it here. I can bring the seat back or up, so that's a little too close for me. You see here. I'm bringing it forward just a little bit more. There we go perfect. Now I'm five foot ten. I got this backer here for some support. There are also other ways you can put another backrest on. You can also, I've got these block extenders on here now. I don't need these, but I put them on here. This is another option too, for the pedaling. This thing is a lot of fun. You can see from the elongated frame. It's balanced, really easy to ride and I want to show you how we can easily just go on a quick five-mile jaunt. Take it on the streets. This thing steers and rides super fun. Now I'm going to show you right here. Here's our display and I'm just going to hold the power button down. Now you see that come on. It's a full-color display. It looks a little weird on camera, maybe because of the lights. So I got a full battery there. Here's our odometer and our pedal assist. Now we've also got the reverse here. Check this out. We can put that into reverse and go backward all right now. We don't need that for right now if I shift this so that's reverse, just put this into level one.

This is our twist throttle. Right here we can twist that and go. This is a kill switch. So if we pop that out, the throttle doesn't work. Push it in. The throttle works and we've got pedal assist, our front and rear brakes, and a cool feature here too is this adjustable handlebar where you can just adjust easily with the clamping of this right here. I like to bring these close into my body. Bring those down just the perfect all right. And from there I'm comfortable. So let's go for a ride. All right I'm going to put it into level two here and we're off and running now. This is one of the most stable trikes like I said because of the geometry of it now. Watch this. When I put this into three, we're gonna take off, so you got to decide and I can sway this back and forth pretty good and the wheels don't even come up all I'm gonna use the throttle a little bit. You can see my hand over here tossing the throttle. All right, let's wait for traffic. We're gonna take on this hill right here. Pretty decent size. Little hill, go ahead, let the car go. All right, all right. Let's go ahead and tackle this. Now you can see I'm super relaxed and this will be no problem getting up this hill. Even while I stay in a nice relaxed riding position. I'm hard-pressed to think there's a more comfortable trike than this. All right. We're up the hill. Probably don't need to be in level five. Once we get on flat ground. Now you can see my legs down here, go ahead and shift this out of five. We can go into two and I'm just pedalling.

Probably could just coastach down this hill. Man, now check this out. This is cool. I'm going to push my button to cross and I'm going to put it in reverse. We got the walk signal. Now I'm going to put it back into my level two. All right from there we're off and running. Now brakes work great too. I'm controlling my speed here. If I need to slow down. I can. It's a pretty big downhill. Now again, let's say I need to hit this crosswalk button, push the button go ahead put it into reverse, and come on back beautiful. Get ready now if I just want to chill here and don't want to have to pull my brakes. Also, I can engage my parking brake and now we're just relaxing, waiting for the light to change so you can see as we're hanging here, real, comfortable, and easy to turn and navigate. Now I like to when I start. Using the throttle makes it easy, so I'm just going when we get the green light here, show you how I just kind of twist this a little bit. Oh gotta disengage my break and just, oh there we go. Come down the curb and we're off steering with one hand there and even navigating through the stuff's real easy now, just for the fun of it, I'm going to show you real quick, my off-reading capability there we go, we're back on all right. We got an uphill here, so let's go ahead and put this into five. It's another pretty serious hell. All right made it up another hill quite easily. Now this is a pretty narrow path here and honestly no problem. We have a bike lane there. I forgot to go in the bike lane, but it's good to show how easy this is. Let's take this down to three. We don't need to be in five.

Nice little rides through the trees here. I'm telling you this thing is so easy to steer and maneuver. It's so much fun. Smel ls like some fresh mulch over here. Just push my walk symbol. Do my reverse. Never have to get up. Put my parking brake on here so I can relax. Wait for yeah. Wait for the light, hoping we can find some other hardback trails up here to take you guys on with us. All right. Let's do this. Oh oh boy. Oh thought I had a dead end there. We're back. I mean this thing is a scooter. If you want it to be all I'm gonna do a little grass riding here, see? Can I maybe not well little bit? Let's try. Yeah, there we go. Show you guys how we can cruise through the grass now. It's a little bumpy taking out some shrubbery. This thing still cruises right through a lot of fallen branches there. Woo is still balanced really. The geometry keeps this thing super balanced. Nice view of the golf course here. I wish I could take it out on the golf course. Cruise through the fairway could be a good option as your golf cart. All right we'll cross the street again. God. I love that. Reverse option, alright. Oh, we got a little dirt trail here. Beautiful, let's go ahead and give this a whirl. Bicycles can go ten miles an hour. Perfect, I'll just take a little trip. I see a major hazard up front here a full-on tree in the middle of the trail. Interesting, we're gonna have to move this. Oh, wow, holy smokes well, how heavy is this? All right? Dude, that's crazy. All right that must have happened like last night. All right wow, nice, and scenic, never been back here before. Beautiful. I must shift it down into second or second level of pedal assist.

Not sure guess we hit a dead end, getting a little steep for us right here, but we've reached a dead end. We're gonna turn around, take all right well that that ended, but give you an idea how we can handle some off-roading. It's balanced. Honestly, if you can see me from the back, the rear wheels never come up. Because of this frames so much funds I can even go a little bit up. Ooh still stays balanced. Little bumpy here. Oh Gosh just ran over running over all sorts of stuff that's nice back to some flat ground. For the sake of demonstration, we're gonna go straight through this. Oh. I think this. Yeah, we gotta go in the bike lane now all right now. Normally I don't advise against going against the traffic, but we don't have any choice right now. Okay, home stretch. We have one pretty large hill here, still have a full battery. Don't all I'm gonna get this baby into five. I don't know if you guys can see this hill. It's pretty long and I'm gonna paddle a little bit right now. Yeah, this is a very long and big hill. If you can see here, but we're gonna get there, we're gonna do it. We did it. We did it all right, that was a big hill all right. Well, we just climbed a rather large hill, and we made it. Now, we're on the home stretch. Oh. I can get out of five. Nice, crisp. Fresh Air. Now we can enjoy the home stretch. Use the throttle that was a lot of fun. This Simple Glide is really, really tons of fun. It's so much more than an electric tricycle. It's, honestly, a mode of transportation. You can take it on paths, and sidewalks, you can pedal, not pedal. It's just so enjoyable.
