Hi, I'm Diane, and I'm at sixthreezero in San Clemente. And today I'm going to test ride the AnyTerrain Quad. Very excited to take this one for a ride on the trail. And a couple of things that I want to point out about this bike before I hop on are the fact that it has seven gears, it has pedal assist, it has a forward and reverse function, it has a hydraulic braking system, and plenty of cargo space. So you could carry stuff with you on your ride, front and back. And it has a horn as well. Also, what I really like about this one, it has a blinker system in the back so you can indicate which way you want to go. This particular bike is going to be powerful enough to get me up these hills and down safely, navigating, providing a lot of balance and stability. So what do you think? Let's take her for a ride.
love trail riding, and you know, I'm transitioning from road biking and mountain biking, and found that when you get to be a little bit older, I've been a little hesitant to go out on these beautiful trails that I love, just because I get fatigued halfway through. And when you ride an e-bike, e-trike, quad, whatever, it gives you the confidence and knowing that if I get fatigued I I don't have to pedal.
So I'm gonna start out using the throttle, and this one has a thumb throttle, and look at this, like, and I'm already a little bit on an incline. So I'm gonna use the thumb throttle to get going. And now I'm in pedal assist one, and I'm gonna click up to pedal assist two because I already see that there's a hill coming up. This is kind of a, this is a bumpy terrain.
Use a combination of a throttle to help me get up this hill. But, um, oh my gosh, this is so fun. You know, you don't have to, there's a lot that can happen once you turn 60, we'll just say. And every day is an adventure when you get out of bed. You never know what you may encounter in terms of something hurting. But what you don't want to do is miss out on things like this. which is enjoying nature, enjoying trails or hikes or rides that you used to be able to go on that mother time has taken away from you. We'll just put it that way. And now I can go out confidently knowing that if I get fatigued, if something's a little too steep for me, I can still enjoy this. And I am, it's absolutely gorgeous out here.
This bike, this quad, rather, four wheels, two in the front, two in the back, provides me, again, like it's super stable with the four tires. I feel totally comfortable. And this is not a flat, this is not a flat path. Okay, I'm slowing down a little, so I'm gonna give myself a little throttle just to get going. It's rocky, it's bumpy. Oh, this is fun. I haven't been able to enjoy a ride like this for years because to be honest, I'm afraid that I'll get out so far and I'll get stuck and then I'm gonna have to tackle a big hill on the way back home and I won't have the energy and I'm gonna have to call Uber or someone to come and get me. And who wants to do that?
I love the handle grips on here and also the handlebars. The handlebars are at a great, comfortable height. My back's not feeling fatigued. Nothing's feeling fatigued or uncomfortable. And the grips on this bike, you know, because we're off-road, we're on a trail, I feel like there's a lot to grip onto. So that's really cool. Exist three. When I paddle, I get a lot of power behind me. What's really nice about the e-bikes, the e-trikes, e-quads, is that if you want to get the exercise in, you can.
Like right now, I'm exerting some energy, but I want to go out on bike rides and still get my exercise in, but have the comfort of knowing that if I get fatigued, then I can enlist the help of pedal assist or the throttle to get me through. Let's see how this takes this turn coming up. Oops, I'm going to slow down just a little because uncharted waters for me. Yeah, it's very bumpy, but stable. Like I never, I'm not like, oh my gosh, a bike is going to tip over. That's not going to happen. Even as I ride brakes going around a curve, which is just normal for me. That's status quo. I'll tell you, if you have stayed off trails because you're getting to be a little bit older, look into e-bikes or e-trikes or a quad or whatever you're most comfortable with, because there's no reason that age should keep us off these trails. Not when you have help like this. Okay.
