The SAFEST Electric Bike

All right. So, safety is a big concern on electric bikes and while nothing is going to make an electric bike 100% safe, there are elements and features that definitely add to making them as safe as possible and that's why I'm going to show you the sixthreezero EVRYjourney, which I believe to be the safest electric bike on the market and I'm going to show you why. Now, the EVRYjourney comes in two frames to aisles a step-through and a high-top tube. We classify these as women's and men's on the website for searching keyword relevancy, but men or women can ride either one, but I'm going to focus primarily on the step-through version because I believe from a safety standpoint, this is actually the safest electric bike on the market for a couple of reasons.

Now, I'm going to start with on the electric front why I believe it's the safest. So, an important feature on this bike when you pull the brake, it cuts the motor. Why is that really important? Well, if you are pedaling and you hold the brake, but the motor kept going. Then if the motor is stronger than the brake, you might keep moving. So, in this case, when you pull that brake, it cuts the motor. So, you can know in the back of your head, no matter what else is going on. If you're doing the throttle, boom, the minute you hit that brake, you cut the motor out. It's going to give you peace of mind. So, from a safety standpoint, anytime you get on the bike, just train yourself to know that. So, in your worst-case scenario, hit that break, boom. Cut the motor. You'll be completely safe.

In addition to that, what also makes this safe is the five levels of assistance that it comes with. What makes that's so safe is the fact that you can adjust the power output that is safest for you. You don't have to just use it in the full power output because generally the full power of this at level five, maybe too much for a lot of people. What this allows you to do is set the assistance level as you see fit to you. So level one, two, three four, five it makes it safer because you can get adjusted. You can get comfortable. And, once you're ready to go from one to two to three to four to five, you decide. You don't have to jump in at full speed and get used to it. As opposed to a car when you hit that gas, you're getting the full power. In this case, you determine how much power is being output by the motor and how much you're being assisted.

Now, in terms of the electrical standpoint what I believe to the features that make this the safest electric bike, thirdly is the disc brakes. Now, front and rear disc brakes, disc brakes are going to provide some of the strongest breaking power of all brake systems that are out there. With the disc brake, you're going to clamp down on these brakes and the bike is going to stop just like that. It's important and very safe to have disc brakes because of the speeds you're going to be traveling at you need ample stopping power. So, if you're concerned about being able to stop or you're concerned about safety, you can know with the disc brakes that you'll be able to stop in time even if you're going upwards of 20 miles an hour.

Now, moving throughout the rest of the bike, just to the general setup and design of this bike. What makes it safe is the mounting and dismounting. So, it's a step-through frame. You can easily step on and off. And, what makes this so safe is just if you ever had to get off the bike quickly, let's say you had to just quickly get off, you can pull your leg out. In the case of bikes that have higher top tubes, you may have to swing your leg over that makes mounting and dismounting more challenging. So, in this case, just pull your leg off and you're good to go.

The next feature that really makes this bike quite safe is the forward pedaling design with the pedal shifted forward. Now let me explain, typically pedals are located directly below where the seat post connects to the seat. So, they would be somewhere around here. You can see in this case, the pedals are shifted forward about six and a half inches. What this does is a couple of things. It allows the rider to be lower to the ground while still getting ample leg extension when riding. So, let me show you. As an example, look at my feet. They are flat on the ground right now when stopped. Typically on a bike or an e-bike, your feet are not going to be flat on the ground. They're going to be up on the balls of your feet like this. The reason for that is because you need to get the proper leg extension when you're pedaling. If you don't have your seat up like this, then you're not going to have ample pedal leg extension in riding and your legs going to be cramped and it's not going to feel right at all.

So in this case, by moving the pedals forward, you are getting that extra five, six inches of leg extension because the pedals are forward so you don't need to raise the seat as high. What this means is you're lower to the ground when you're stopped. So when you stop, you can get your feet ample or securely on the ground, but you can also have the proper leg extension when riding. So, this just makes it completely safe because if you ever need to stop, boom, your feet are right here. If you were up like this, you'd be a little bit more wobbly, unbalanced. But, in this case, your feet are lower to the ground, which makes it much safer. In addition, this bike also comes in a regular bike and this feature is the same. It's a very safe bike. So, in addition, it makes the mounting and dismounting easier too, because you're lower to the ground. You can get off so much easier.

And, in the case that something did go wrong or you had to get off the bike with the step-through and the low center of gravity, it's just going to make bailing off the bike that much easier. Again, if you were higher off the ground, you wouldn't even be able to have your feet flat. You'd be wobbly and you might tip over or fall. But, in this case, you've got complete control of the bike. And, on an e-bike that's really of very important thing. You want to make sure you have complete control of your bike. People forget while yes, this is a bike. This is an electrically powered bike. So, there is power in this bike. E-bikes are powerful. They can drive you places. So, it's important that you're as safe as possible and you feel as comfortable on the bike so you can drive safely.

Okay. Another feature that really makes this bike safe is the four custom adjustment points. Now, not all bikes have this. Some have some adjustment points, but at sixthreezero we have four adjustment points. What makes this so safe is that you can really, 100%, custom this bike to your body to make sure that you get yourself in the safest riding position possible. Let me show you. So, right here you have your seat height up and down easily adjustable. So, find the perfect height for you and with the quick release, you can do it simple and easy. Now up under here, underneath the seat, you have two adjustment bolts on what we call the seat hardware, which attaches the seat to the seat post.

You can loosen those and actually adjust the tilt of the seat. Again, another safety benefit, because this tilt is going to get you into a position that's best for you and safe. Whether you want to be tilted back or forward, you could tilt it very far forward, which would make sliding off the seat very easy. But again, just the fact that you can custom adjust that is going to make it very safe for you.

So, you've got your height and your tilt on the seat. And, when you move up to the handlebar, the same thing. You've got a stem bolt here that can raise or lower the handlebar. So, get these in a position and where you feel most comfortable like you have control of the bike. And, then lastly, up here, you've got another stem bolt that you can tilt up and down till you feel comfortable. So, you can tilt them all the way up here, or you can tilt them all the way down, whatever is safest to you. You can adjust this bike. Obviously, you're probably going to want to find some combination of comfort, safety, and performance, or maybe you're not concerned with performance. You're just looking for comfort and safety adjust these four custom adjustment points to your body so you feel safest. A very unique feature of the sixthreezero EVRYjourney electric bike.

Okay, lastly, just a couple of other features that it has. There's an on-off switch on the battery and of course, you have your on-off here. The on-off-on battery is just a safe thing in general because when you're not using the power or turning that off, you don't have to burn the electricity. Or if you leave this at home, turn that off and the battery's not outputting any power so there's no electrical current running through the bike. That's really just a safety feature to have it actually stored in your garage or at home. So, you can turn the battery on and off versus just having the battery kind of sit there live all the time.

So, there you have it. The safest electric bike on the market as we see.
