The 3 Wheel Electric Bike All Seniors Should Know About | Three Wheel Electric Bike for Seniors

I'm Dustin and I'm going to show you the best three-wheel electric bike for seniors in 2023. Stick around.

Okay, so I'm going to show you the best three-wheel electric bike for seniors in 2023. It is right here before me, the Sixthreezero EvryJourney Electric Trike, Three Wheel Electric Bike. There are a lot of reasons why this is the best three-wheel electric bike for seniors in 2023, let me walk you through it. Starting off, I want to highlight the frame. Not only the elegance and sleekness of the frame but there's also a practicality to it with this easy, low step-through frame that can be mounted and dismounted simply. In addition to that, it comes in four color palettes and four colorways.

The reason I think this is not just good for seniors but all rider types, we offer some variety, different colors, teal, cream, navy, and matte black. Better than the standard white, blue, and red, we've seen it all before. Now, let me get back to the frame. This frame is an easy step-through mounting and dismounting. You just put your leg right through here and you can easily get on and off the trike. The reason I think this is key with a lot of people is if you have balance issues or you're shorter or senior, you want it to be safe to mount and dismount. Once you're through, you can easily get on and sit down. Now, mounting or getting off, you just put your feet down and, again, pull your leg through. It is no problem at all.

Now, once you're on, the other benefit of this frame is the ergonomics. When you step up and you sit down, your back is going to be in a totally upright position. Your arms are going to be relaxed, meaning no pressure, no tension on your arms, your shoulders, your elbows, and your lower back. You're not going to have pain when you're done riding. That's a huge beauty of this three-wheel electric bike; ride longer, don't have the pain. You don't have to hunch forward, you don't have to tense up your arms, and the handlebars swoop in. Very comfortable, very ergonomic, and easy on your body.

Now, moving into the electrical elements of it. 250-watt front hub motor, 36 volts, 10.4 amp hour battery. With the motor size, in particular, what I believe for seniors is bigger motors aren't necessarily better. The 250-watt front hub motor is just enough for 90% of riders out there. I'm 215 lbs. I'm going to demonstrate how this three-wheel electric bike will perform with me. We also have lots of other videos demoing this on different terrains like grass, dirt, also heavier riders up to 400 lbs. so check out our YouTube channel. You can see all that but I will give you a little demonstration today and show you why this is enough power. We've also demoed this with senior riders. You can check out those videos as well.

Nine times out of 10, all of our senior riders are always blown away by the thrust and power that they get out of the motor. A lot have even said too much power scares them or doesn't make them feel comfortable so I believe 250 watts on an electric trike is enough to power for senior riders. Again, check out the other videos. You can hear from them and see what their experience was like with this electric trike. We also did a 10-mile ride on this electric trike with seniors as well.

Now, with this motor, you're still going to be able to hit up to 20 miles an hour. Pedal assist is like 18 to 20. Full throttle is going to be somewhere from 13 to 16, in that range. I do lots of videos and I always give these ranges. Sometimes they vary but it's really dependent on the weight of the rider, the terrain, topography, and so many factors that dictate the speed. Also, talking full throttle, pedal assists, or riding it as a regular trike really depends. Moving on to the battery. The battery is easily removable. You can take it on or off to charge or you can just leave it on the bike to charge, you don't have to take it off. But if you locked your bike up outside, you can take the battery in with you and bring it in to charge or bring it in with you so you don't have to worry if it gets stolen, even though there is a key and it locks.

You're going to get a range of 10 to 50 miles. Now, big range, again. In full throttle, you're looking at anywhere from 10 to 30 miles. Pedal assist is going to be like 20 to 50. Why there's such a range? The weight of the rider, topography, pavement, and terrain. Also, how you're using the bike, so if you're using pedal-assist or throttle, what combination, what level of pedal assist? All of those things play into the range that you're going to get. The more conservatively you use the electric, the longer the battery goes. If you use pedal assist in the lowest level, which is level one, you're going to get ranges upwards of 50 miles. If you use just the throttle and you're going 15 miles an hour, your range is going to be closer to 10 miles. We did a video of me, 215 lbs., throttle only. I made it over 20 miles and we still had battery capacity left.

Now, moving on to the basket. You've got this awesome rear basket. You can bring anything you want with you wherever you're going; beach stuff, tennis stuff, pickle ball stuff, golf stuff, groceries, anything you want to throw in there, take it with you. We've done that before as well. It can carry those loads. We've actually had 800 lbs. in this basket, I don't recommend it but the bike still performed. That video's on our YouTube, check it out, you can see that as well. In addition, one thing I really love about this is that it's got three modes of riding and you can ... Basically, you can ride this like a regular trike, you can ride it in pedal-assist or throttle. The choice is totally up to you.

It's just really cool because if you want to get some exercise and you don't want to use the electricity, then don't. Right now I'm just going to use it like a regular tricycle and you can see it's super easy to pedal, and you can turn on the electric at any point and you can remove the battery to reduce the weight by eight lbs., which will make this even simpler and easier to pedal. The seat is not properly tightened so we'll go ahead and just tighten that down a little bit. Now, this actually is a good segue into the next talking point, which I forgot to mention, which is the four custom adjustment points. Now, that plays into the ergonomics but you can see here I'm adjusting the height. You also have a tilt. You have a tilt on the handlebars and a raise and a lower on the handlebars so this is going to allow you to adjust this to your body in a perfect ergonomic way.

Basically, any rider four foot 11 to six foot two will be able to adjust this to be ergonomic for them. We actually have a video of sizing from 4'11" to six feet where you can check that out and see the different rider heights and give you an idea of how we adjust it to the different bodies. Now, I'm going to turn it on. Again, we have another demo video of this that is in more depth showing all facets of riding this bike or trike but I'm going to explain to you, turn it on right here and now you have your five levels of pedal assist. I'm going to show you right now. I'm in level three. When it kicks in, there it goes. You can see.

One thing I didn't mention too is the brakes. You have front and rear brakes. You can see, stop very quickly. I was going almost 10 miles an hour there. Here comes the pedal assist so the front and rear brakes, watch this coming right here, stopping on a dime. You have five levels of pedal assist. That was the pedal assist mode. Now, if you don't want a pedal at all, hit the throttle and I'm off and I can get up to speeds. Now, I'm 215 lbs. You didn't see the trike struggle at all to get me going and I can come back here and, look at this, how nimble it is, you can really drive all over.

The other really cool aspect about this three wheel electric bike for seniors is how customizable it is. You can add different types of bags to the rear basket on this e trike. There are color coordinating helmets and bags to match perfectly with which color you select for your three wheel e bike. Why have a trike that looks like everyone else's is. You can customizer your tricycle and look different.
