The 2025 Lineup: Built Around Comfort and Safety

For 2025 we rebuilt four of our best-selling e-bikes around the two things riders ask for most: comfort and safety. Every one of them now rides on a suspension fork and carries integrated front and rear lighting, and each keeps the personality that made it popular in the first place.

I'm Dustin, and in this walkthrough I break down the whole 2025 lineup. First the two upgrades that touch every bike, then the shared motor, battery, range, and gearing, and finally each model on its own, the Simple Step Through in 20 and 26 inch, the EVRYjourney, and the semi-recumbent Relaxed Body.

The goal is simple: help you find the frame and riding position that actually fits your body, then let you try it risk-free. Every bike here ships with a 30-day test ride and a one-year warranty on parts and labor.

The suspension fork changes everything

The number one upgrade we made across the board is the suspension fork. All four of these bikes now ride on a fork that actually absorbs impact, and it isn't just a comfort add-on you either love or ignore. It's adjustable, and once you understand how it works you'll switch between its two modes depending on where you're riding.

On the fork you've got two positions, a locked position and an open position. When the fork is open, you get the full travel. Roll over a bump, a curb, a root, a broken bit of asphalt, and the fork compresses and rebounds so your hands, wrists, and lower back don't take the hit. If you want that cushy, soft, forgiving ride, you open the fork up and let it do its job. It's the difference between feeling every seam in the road and floating over it.

When you lock the fork out, that travel goes away, and that's on purpose. On smooth, flat pavement, a rigid front end rolls more efficiently. None of your pedaling energy or momentum gets soaked up by the suspension, so you roll faster and smoother. So the simple rule is this: if you want maximum shock absorption, open the fork; if you're on flat ground and want the most efficient roll, lock it out. You can make that call in seconds, right there on the fork, and you'll feel the difference immediately.

Why does this matter so much? Because comfort is the number one reason people either fall in love with cycling or quietly give it up. A harsh ride wears you down, aggravates sore joints, and makes you dread the next outing. A smooth ride invites you to go a little farther and stay out a little longer. Adding real front suspension to our comfort-focused electric bikes raises the floor on all of them, and it's the kind of upgrade you notice on the very first ride.

Integrated front and rear lighting

The second big upgrade for 2025 is integrated lighting, front and rear, and this one is all about safety. We've added a front headlight that you control right from the handlebars. Flip it on and you light up the road in front of you, which matters both for seeing where you're going and, just as importantly, for being seen by drivers and other riders. In bright daylight it can be hard to notice the beam, but at dawn, dusk, or after dark it makes a real difference.

Out back, there's an integrated tail light, and I love how we set it up. The rear light activates when you pull the brake levers, so it behaves like a brake light on a car. When you slow down, you light up, and the people behind you get a clear signal that you're stopping. That's a genuinely smart safety feature, because the moment you're braking is exactly the moment you most need to be visible.

On top of the powered lighting, the front of the bike still carries a reflector, so even with the electronics off you're bouncing light back at anyone who shines headlights your way. Layering an active headlight, a brake-activated tail light, and a passive reflector gives you visibility from multiple angles, which is exactly what you want when you're sharing the road. The shared platform under all four bikes

Before I break down the individual models, let me walk through the electronics and drivetrain these bikes have in common, because it's a big part of what you're actually buying. Underneath the different frames, all four run the same core system, and it's a setup we've refined over a lot of years and a lot of miles on our sixthreezero electric bikes.

Every one of these is a 500-watt rear hub e-bike. The motor sits in the rear wheel and drives you forward smoothly, whether you're using the throttle, using pedal assist, or pedaling on your own. Each bike carries a 10.4 amp-hour battery, which is the fuel tank that determines how far you can go on a charge.

On speed, here's what you can expect. Using the throttle alone, your top speed is about 20 miles per hour. In pedal assist, where the motor is boosting your own pedaling, you can get up to roughly 22 miles per hour. That's plenty quick for cruising the neighborhood, running errands, or keeping pace on a bike path, and it's a speed most riders find comfortable rather than intimidating.

For range, we say up to 50 miles on a charge, and I want to be straight with you about what that number means. Range is never a single fixed figure on any e-bike, ours included. How far you actually go depends on a few things. It depends on how you use the electric assist, because leaning on full throttle the whole time drains the battery faster than mixing in your own pedaling. It depends on the weight of the rider, since more load asks more of the motor. And it depends on terrain, because flat ground sips power while a route full of hills gulps it. Ride light, pedal along, and stay on flatter ground, and you can even push past 50 miles. Ride heavier, throttle hard, and climb a lot, and you'll see less. That's why we say up to 50, and it's the honest way to talk about range.

Seven speeds that work with your assist level

All four of these are seven-speed bikes, and the gears aren't just there for looks. They work hand in hand with the pedal assist levels, and once you understand how to pair them, riding gets a lot easier and a lot more efficient.

The basic idea is to match your gear to your assist. When you're in a higher level of assistance, you generally want to be in a higher gear, so the bike and motor are working together smoothly. When you drop to a lower level of assistance, you'll usually want to shift the gears down to keep pedaling comfortable. And when you're climbing hills, shift into your lower gears. That makes the climb as easy as possible on your legs and lets the motor help you up without straining. It becomes second nature within a ride or two, and it's the key to getting both a comfortable cadence and good battery efficiency.

It's also worth saying that you're never locked into one way of riding. You can twist the throttle and let the motor do all the work, which is great when you're tired or facing a headwind. You can use pedal assist, where the motor amplifies your own effort, so you still feel like you're pedaling but everything is easier. Or you can turn the assist down and pedal under your own power for the exercise. Most riders end up doing all three within a single ride, and the beauty of an e-bike is that you decide, moment to moment, how much of a workout you want. The motor is a backup you can lean on, not a crutch you're forced to use.

Braking is handled by front and rear disc brakes on these bikes, which give you strong, confident stopping power. On an e-bike you're carrying a bit more speed and a bit more weight than on a standard bike, so good brakes matter, and disc brakes deliver the control you want. Between the 500-watt motor, the 10.4 amp-hour battery, the seven-speed drivetrain, and disc brakes at both ends, you've got a genuinely capable platform. What changes from model to model is the frame, and that's where these bikes really start to feel different from one another.

The Simple Step Through, 20-inch: compact, light, and easy

Let's start with the Simple Step Through in its 20-inch form, because it's one of the most approachable e-bikes we make. This is an extremely lightweight, compact bike, and it's built to be easy to live with. The handlebars fold down, so even though the frame itself doesn't fold in half, the bike is already so compact that it's genuinely easy to transport and bring along with you. It rolls on 20-inch wheels wrapped in 2-inch-wide tires. Those aren't fat tires, and that's deliberate. Keeping the tires trimmer sits the bike lower to the ground and keeps it easy to handle and easy to move around. Here's the number that really sets this bike apart: the step-over height. At 8 inches, this is the lowest step-over height of any e-bike we offer. That means swinging onto and off of the bike takes almost no effort, which is exactly what you want if you have any hesitation about lifting a leg over a tall frame. Lower the seat all the way down and the top of the saddle sits at 29 inches, low enough that this bike can comfortably accommodate riders as short as 4 feet 11 inches.

Short riders are often the most underserved, so I'm proud of how well this one fits them. And it isn't only for petite riders. It uses ape-hanger style handlebars that sweep back into your body, so your back stays upright and your arms stay relaxed. You can adjust the angle of those bars and the height as well, which lets the bike stretch up to fit riders up to about six feet tall. Pull the bars up, bring them into you, raise the seat to where you want it, and you dial in a genuinely comfortable position.

This is a fun, zippy little e-bike. It'll get you around town easily, and you can absolutely pedal it for exercise if you like, since it has the full seven-speed drivetrain and front and rear disc brakes. If your main goal is a serious workout you might want something with a bigger tire, but for easy, comfortable, low-stress riding this thing is a joy. The moment you sit on it, with the bars swept into your body and your back upright, you feel how relaxed the position is. And because it's so light and so low, it's easy to control and safe to get on and off. If stepping over a frame is a concern for you, this is about as easy and safe as it gets.

The Simple Step Through, 26-inch: full-size feel, still low

Moving up, we have the 26-inch version of the same bike. This one is for the rider who wants something that looks and feels more like a traditional, full-size bicycle, but who still wants that low, easy step-through. It gives you the bigger-wheel presence without giving up the accessibility that makes this model special.

For 2025 we re-engineered the seat post so the saddle can drop even lower than it did before. In its lowest position, the seat comes down to 30 inches. Pair that with a step-over height of just 11 inches, and you've got a full-size e-bike that's still remarkably easy to mount and dismount. That combination means riders around 5 feet tall can comfortably ride this model, which is not something you can say about most full-size bikes.

It's great for pedaling if you want the exercise, and you can lean on the pedal assist or the throttle whenever you'd rather let the motor carry more of the load. The step-through frame keeps getting on and off low-stress, and the low seat makes it easy to plant your feet. On the other end, you can raise the seat to fit riders up to about 6 feet 2 inches, so this one frame stretches to cover a wide range of heights. That versatility, a low step-over and a big adjustment range, is exactly why this size stays a favorite.

The EVRYjourney: forward pedaling comfort

Next up is the EVRYjourney, one of our all-time best sellers in both standard bikes and e-bikes. If you're new to it, the thing that defines this bike is what we call a forward pedaling design, and once you experience it, it's hard to go back to anything else. On a typical bike, the pedals sit directly below the seat. On the EVRYjourney, we've moved the pedals forward about 10 inches, out in front of the rider's body. That one change solves a problem a lot of riders struggle with. Normally, to get good leg extension while pedaling, you have to raise the seat up high, but a high seat makes it hard to touch the ground when you stop, which leaves people feeling unbalanced and unsteady. By pushing the pedals forward, we let you keep the seat nice and low while still getting full leg extension as you pedal.

The payoff is that you can plant your feet flat on the ground when you're stopped, and still stretch your legs out properly while you ride. The seat on this one sits at about 30 inches, so it's easy to mount and dismount, and you get that added leg extension the whole time you're riding. It's the kind of design detail that sounds small on paper but completely changes how secure you feel on the bike.

The step-over height here is 19.5 inches. That's a bit higher than a dedicated low step-through frame, and that's the trade-off you make to get the forward pedaling geometry. In exchange, you get an ergonomic, upright riding position that a lot of people find is the most comfortable setup they've ever ridden. Your back stays tall, your shoulders and wrists stay relaxed, and the handlebars sweep back into your body so you're not hunched over.

Think about who this posture helps. If you've been away from cycling for a while, an upright position feels familiar and unintimidating, more like sitting than crouching. If you deal with back, hip, shoulder, or knee strain, keeping your spine tall and your joints in a relaxed, neutral position takes a lot of the ache out of a longer ride. And because the seat stays low while the pedals reach forward, you get that reassuring feeling of being able to stop, put your feet down flat, and stay balanced without any drama. It's a bike that quietly removes the reasons people give up on riding.

This is also just an easy bike to fold into everyday life. It's happy running errands, cruising the boardwalk, or rolling around the neighborhood for an hour after dinner. You don't have to gear up or psych yourself up to ride it, you just go. That low-effort, low-stress character is a big part of why it's stayed one of our best sellers for so long.

Riders genuinely love this bike, and I understand why. It hits a sweet spot between a low, confidence-inspiring seat and a natural, full pedaling stroke, wrapped in a relaxed upright posture. Last in the group is the Relaxed Body, our semi-recumbent e-bike, and I'll be honest, I personally love this one. It's so unique and so different from anything else out there that it tends to surprise people the first time they ride it. You can find it on our page for semi-recumbent electric bikes, and it's worth a look even if you've never considered a recumbent style before.

The frame is longer than a standard bike, and it takes the forward pedaling idea to its most extreme. The pedals on this bike are moved forward a full 13 inches, further out in front than on anything else we build. Pushing the pedals that far forward lets us drop the seat even lower to the ground while still giving you full leg extension as you pedal, because your legs are reaching out in front of you rather than straight down.

That low seat is the headline. The saddle sits at about 28.5 inches, which is a genuinely low, easy-to-reach height, and yet you never give up your pedaling stroke because of where the pedals sit. On top of that, the bike has a nice low step-through with a step-over height of 18 inches, so getting on and off is easy and unintimidating. For anyone who wants a low center of gravity and a very grounded, stable feel, this design delivers it without sacrificing comfort.

The cockpit is adjustable, too. The handlebars don't have to be swept way up if you don't want them that way. You can bring them into your body or push them away to find the exact reach that suits you. Personally I like the seat raised just a touch and the bars pulled right into me, so I get a nice leg extension and a relaxed, supported posture. The point is that you can dial the position in precisely to your body, which is a big part of why this bike feels so good over a longer ride.

What surprises most people is how natural it feels once they're moving. Because your weight settles into a longer, lower frame, the bike feels planted and steady rather than tippy, and that stability builds confidence fast. Reaching your legs out in front rather than pressing straight down takes pressure off your knees and hips, which is a real relief if those joints give you trouble. It's the kind of bike where you set off meaning to ride around the block and end up going a few miles because nothing hurts and nothing feels like effort.

A semi-recumbent like this is genuinely rare. Most bike companies don't build anything close to it, so if you've never seen one in person, it's worth a test ride just to feel the difference. The combination of a low seat, a low step-over, forward pedals, and an adjustable cockpit adds up to a riding experience that's hard to describe until you're on it. For the right rider, it's a revelation.

Put it all together and the Relaxed Body is a laid-back, easy-on-the-joints ride that's honestly just a lot of fun. It's easy on your body, easy to get on and off, and unlike any other e-bike in feel.
