E-Bikes & Bikes Customised to You
Hey, everyone. I'm Dustin. I'm the CEO of SixThreeZero, and I wanted to say thank you for your pre-order of the EZ Transit folding electric trike, which I have right here in front of me. I know we've experienced some delays and the ship date has been pushed back now a few times, but we are on track for them to arrive on June 30th. And since this is the first time we have run the production on this model since we've had it in development, it just took a little more time for us to make sure everything was right, and quality control was right, so we could deliver the best possible trike to you, to make sure that your experience was not only safe but also fun and amazing.
I wanted to also let you know about a few things in advance of your e-trike arriving, so you can be ready to ride and know what to expect when it shows up on your door, so you can assemble it easily and be off and going as soon as possible. Now, one thing I will say is once the production samples arrive, we will be doing a complete video of the unboxing and the assembly that we will send to you in advance of you receiving your e-trike, so you can have a step-by-step guide to the assembly process. But just a few quick things I wanted to let you know about, so you can be prepared once it arrives, so you can know what to expect.
Couple things. One, when you get your e-trike, it's going to arrive folded in half, and the front wheel will not be on, the seat will not be on, the handlebars will not be in, and the pedals will not be on. Because the handlebars are quick release, these will be in here, or attached like that, folded down, but this piece right here will not be in, but that will be a simple installation for you to just insert the handlebars into this quick release and push them in.
The pedals are simple screw-on, they both tighten forward. You'll have a 15-millimeter wrench to tighten those, and the seat post is quick-release, so that'll be easy to install. And the front wheel is an 18-millimeter bolt. You'll slide that in, make sure the disc goes into the brake, and you will tighten those bolts on so that it's nice and secure. Now again, we're going to send you a video with way more details and specifics on how to do the assembly. I just kind of wanted to walk you through what to expect.
In addition, the baskets will not be attached, so you'll need to bolt these on. This one is just four bolts here that attach the basket on in the rear, and the front basket has these struts right here and a piece right here on the stem, or the headset, I should say, and this piece will be attached, so you won't need to insert that piece. It'll be easier to put the basket on for you, so it won't be that big of a deal.
Moving throughout the rest of the bike: the gears and the brakes, again, may require a little bit of adjusting. If you're not comfortable doing that, we recommend taking it to a professional, especially for the brakes. If you feel at any point they're not stopping you properly, making sure that those are adjusted is an important safety feature when out and riding. The gears should come pre-tuned. As you're riding, you can shift through the gears and see, does it go into 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 as you're riding? And in addition to that, you will need to install the rear fenders as well. But, when the trike arrives, you're going to unfold it, put that front wheel on, put the seat, handlebars, and pedals, and you could be riding often. It'll be very quick to get to that point. Then it will take a little extra time to just put the basket on, rear basket on, and put the fenders on.
So, just a brief overview of how it's going to arrive. Please expect more follow-up videos from us once we have the production here. We're going to make videos real quick and get them out to you with riding information, and assembly information, so you can have as much to know about your e-trike in advance of you riding and assembling it. So thanks again for your patience and waiting for the EZ Transit. I know once you get it, you're going to love it. And if you have any other questions in the meantime, please email us, the team at sixthreezero.com, or call us, at (310) 982-2877. Thanks again, and welcome to the SixThreeZero family.
