Schwinn Beach Cruiser Bikes vs. Sixthreezero Beach Cruisers

Hey guys, Dustin here, CEO of Sixthreezero. Want to talk to you today about how do Sixthreezero beach cruiser bikes compare to Schwinn beach cruiser bikes? Now, Schwinn's obviously been making beach cruisers for a long time, they have a great selection. Schwinn beach cruisers are kind of known as the original beach cruiser. So I wanna talk to you about how does Sixthreezero compare to Schwinn. And obviously I'm the CEO of Sixthreezero, but I'm gonna try to do this video in as non-biased as possible, and just really lay it out how I think we're different, how do our bikes compare.

So, Schwinn has obviously been around for a long time, a hundred plus years. They've kind of evolved over time. Schwinn used to be the pinnacle of bikes back in the day, and now they've kind of morphed into being a hybrid of high-end bikes and also mass market bikes. So you see Schwinns in Walmart, Target, on Amazon, things like that. And their price points on their cruisers, in particular, having to come way down. You'll see a typical Schwinn cruiser, probably around 150 dollars or less. Some can even dip below $100 depending.

I think they are great bikes. If you're looking to spend $150 or less, my suggestion would be a Schwinn would be a great option. Now the downside with that price point is, typically at that price point, you're not gonna get a huge selection of color. That's a big difference between Sixthreezero and a Schwinn, is that we offer a lot of colors, a lot of different speeds for every model. With Schwinn trying to keep prices low, it's most effective for them to choose one or two colors and keep production volume high, keeps cost down, things like that.

If you're more of a price-oriented shopper, I would definitely say go with Schwinn, it's a great option. Also the name, it's classic, it speaks to us, it's Americana. So I have nothing bad to say about it, I would say $150 range if you're okay with that two and a half to three and a half star, Schwinn cruisers are a great option.

Now, with that said, Schwinn also does offer independent bike shop beach cruisers. Now, these are gonna be even more expensive, they're a little bit more high end. I'd say it might be more money than you need to spend on a beach cruiser, typically for the IBD models, but again, it's up to you if you like that name, or if the bike speaks to you. I would say generally speaking on their cruisers, there's no competitive advantage for their higher end models. They look like most cruisers out there, other than they do have the nostalgic feel of having the Schwinn name on it.

Comparing those to Sixthreezero cruisers, we don't really dip below a hundred ... well, we don't, we don't dip below $150. Our entry-level cruiser is the Around the Block, which currently is at 199, unfortunately due to tariffs it's gonna have to bump up to 229 here pretty shortly. But that's the entry level because we're focused on value, and we wanna build the best bike we can for as low as possible. And we've determined that that price of about 229, 199 is the best we can do from the quality we wanna stand behind, to provide the value back to the customer.

Where we differ from Schwinn, is you just look at our color selection. We use a much different pallet, pastels, colors like that, and our speed options. If you look at our women's cruiser, Around the Block cruisers, you can get all of those in one speed, three speed, seven-speed, twenty-one speed. And actually, I don't think there's any other cruiser company out there really doing a 21-speed cruiser. The reason we did that is that we want the cruiser customer to be able to have the same gears that any other bike comes with if they want it. Big difference between us and Schwinn, number one is the price point. Our starting price points are higher. Our color pallet is much broader.

Thirdly is the customization. If you buy directly from us, we're gonna allow you to customize it. We're gonna build one-off bikes for whoever wants to do it. We're gonna change your rims, change tires, we can change seat colors, basically anything. So if you're on our website, just navigate to the top, you're gonna see a link says customizer. Basically, any bike on our website can be customized that way. So big difference. We know that customization is important in the beach cruiser market.

Companies like Schwinn, also Huffy, way too big of volume to be doing that kind of one-off customization. Different business model, keep prices down, things like that. We're all about the customer and letting people choose what they wanna do. So the difference between the beach cruisers.

With that said, the other thing with Sixthreezero is we really focus on seats and comfort. So I think, personally, you're gonna find our seats to be more comfortable than Schwinn seats. We use different foams, different sizes, different springs like that, that are gonna make our cruisers way, way more comfortable, especially as you move up in the price range. If you go to the In the Barrel or the women's cruisers, you're gonna see our seats, the bucket saddle, the stitching, it looks really nice, and it's all about comfort.

That's my comparison of the two. I think both have a different set of customers. We are more in the customization, the selection, comfort side. Again, entry price points, 199, 229. For Schwinn, more price sensitive customer. If you want the nostalgia and the look, more simple, reminds you of the classic, timeless 50s style, I'd say go with the Schwinn for the $150 price point.

Summary

When it comes to choosing between Schwinn beach cruiser bikes and Sixthreezero beach cruisers, personal preference plays a big role. While both brands offer stylish and high-quality bikes, there are some differences worth noting. Schwinn is a well-established and traditional bike brand that has been around since 1895, whereas Sixthreezero is a newer brand that focuses on creating bikes with modern features and comfortable riding experiences. Schwinn beach cruisers are known for their vintage look and feel, while Sixthreezero beach cruisers offer more customization options and modern amenities such as ergonomic grips and comfortable saddles.
