Reverse Trike: How Fast Can I Corner on a Tadpole Electric Tricycle?

How fast can I corner on the reverse e-trike? Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry and today I'm going to demonstrate how fast I can corner on the reverse e-trike. All right, so this is a Reverse Tadpole e-trike from sixthreezero. You can see it's got this cool tilting front-end steering, which is awesome and a lot of fun. And today I'm going to demonstrate the performance of the steering and show you how fast can I take a corner. Now I'm going to go down here, corner around here and around here. Now, this is capped at 16 miles an hour, so I'm going to try to take the turns at 16. Don't try this at home. I got my helmet on. I just want to see what it's capable of. Now, I'm going to start slower, and we're going to work our way up. So, at first, I'm just going to go at a leisurely, let's do eight miles an hour. All right. All right. Okay, that's eight right there. All right. Coming around this turn. I'm going faster than eight a little bit. No problem. Come back this way. I'll do eight again. It's hard for me to stay only at eight. All right. No problem. All right, now let's pump it up. I'm going to go up to 12 miles an hour. I'll do 10. We were already at about 10 there a little bit, but let me just get up to 10. All right, that's 10, 11. No problem. I'll take this turn up here as well. No problem. Now you see on the reverse trike how you want to lean into the turn like a two-wheel bike. Let's see. Alright, 10 again, no problem. Alright, let's push it up to 12. Here we go.

There's 12. That's a little bit faster than 12, but there we go, no problem. A little closer to 14. Alright, I tell you what, we're just going to go max speed now. I'm going to pull full throttle, go to 16, and see if we can't take this turn. Let me back up just a little bit to ensure I got the runway here to get full speed. All right, here we go. 16. Actually, it cut the motor at 16 and we dropped. So here, let me do pedal assist. All right, let's kick this up. Here we go. There we go. 16 right on the nose cornering. There we go. So you've just got to learn to trust the steering mechanism, and that's going to allow you to take turns because you actually can corner more exaggerated on this than on a two-wheel bike. So let's give it one more rip. Okay, here we go. I'm going to try to just accelerate the end. So when it cuts, there we go. Now let's accelerate. You see I can kind of lean into it.
