Parking Brakes on an Electric Tricycle?! How Does it Work?? Perfect for Seniors!

Hi, I'm Diane. I'm at Sixthreezero in San Clemente, and this is the EZ Transit Foldable E-Trike. And I want to point out some really cool features on this particular E-Trike, first and foremost being that this has a very unique feature to Sixthreezero, and it's called the parking brake. And it's very easy to turn on and off, and I'm going to show you how to turn it on right now. You simply pull the brake forward and push this lever up. And I'm walking around to show it to you, but you could do this while you're on the bike as well. So right now, the parking brake is on and enforced. And the reason this is important and usable is if you have any type of stability issue. I didn't check this bike beforehand, so the seat's a little high for me, but you get the picture. Look, I'm rocking with all my weight, and this bike isn't going anywhere. So if you have any type of mobility or stability concerns, this feature is really important.

If you wanna stop and have a drink of water, or let's say that you're stopped for a little break, but you're on an incline or a slight decline, this is when you want to enlist the help of these brakes. Getting on, getting off the bike, it's not going to go anywhere. And again, I'm throwing my full weight against this right now. And being on the bike or the trike, all I'm gonna do is pull back on the brakes to release it. Isn't that fun? So you don't have to get off the bike if you want to enlist, if you want to engage them, either. You simply just pull the brake, push the button, and now they're on. And then when you want them off, just pull the brakes again, and it's off. So cool, right? A very unique feature at Sixthreezero, and it's a really important safety feature for me.
