Live in the Villages in Florida: These Electric Trikes Are the Best Way to Get Around

All right, so let's say you live in the villages in Florida, the largest retirement community in the world, and you are enjoying all the amenities living there. I've got three electric tricycles behind me that I think will be greatly suited for the villages or any retirement community for that matter. But the village is a very unique place with lots of amenities, lots of houses, and there are many, many ways to get around.

I'm sure golf carts are one of the preferred methods, but in this day and age, with all of the electric transportation that is coming out, including e-bikes and electric tricycles, there are better ways to get around the villages and play pickleball, to go to the pool, the community center, to even do your local grocery shopping. Instead of taking a car, why not keep your body moving? Why not get out? Get some sun while also accomplishing all of the errands that you need to do or the activities you need to do. That way you may never have to get in a car again, and honestly, you're keeping your body healthier longer. And the other thing, easier parking, easier to bring these places. So I've got three electric tricycles right here. I'm going to walk you through all three and explain to you what each of them is good for and how I think it could benefit and suit your life in the villages.

So let's start over here. This is the sixthreezero Folding Easy Transit Electric Tricycle. Really cool electric trike. One more thing I want to say before I get into it. We've got tons of videos on each of these e-trikes on our YouTube channel right now, so I'm going to go through all of them, but if you want more details, you can see test rides with real riders. You can see all the specs, closeups, more details, and more information about everything you see here. So check out our YouTube channel and we also have a playlist titled Electric Tricycle. So Easy Transit Folding e- trike. This is an amazing electric tricycle. It has 16-inch wheels and an extremely low step-through height that makes mounting and dismounting super, super simple. Also, this can accommodate riders four foot nine up to six foot two. The reason for that is it has a double adjustable seat post here.

You can see there are two quick releases here, which allow us to not only accommodate tall riders but also short riders. And getting off like I am getting on and off as I said, is super easy. The other benefit is you have these handlebars that come into your body here, which makes for a very relaxed riding position. You can drop this down even lower. You can see it like that. Now the benefit of something like this is this could be your mobility device inside and outside. Take it to play pickleball. If you have mobility issues and you don't get up and walk around a lot, you can drive this indoors. It's very easy to steer on mobile. The 16-inch wheels make it super simple and a lot easier to navigate than some of the electric scooters out there. In addition, you have a reverse option here. So if you're in tight quarters inside, you need to reverse out of those spaces. This folding e-trike would be a great, great option for that as well.

Now, the cool thing is you've got a throttle, you've got a pedal assist and you can also ride this without any electric assistance at all. So the choice is yours. If you're out cruising, you don't want to pedal at all, use the throttle just like an electric scooter. Let this do all the work. Or you can do pedal assist, let your legs do some of the work, and get some assistance from the motor as well. Or if you're out getting full-on exercise, you want to do all the work, ride it like a leg... A regular tricycle with no electricity. You have a seven-speed [inaudible 00:04:44] here. So you have seven gears like on a bicycle. So you can put it in level one, which is going to be easiest to pedal, or level seven, which will be the hardest and take you to a higher top speed. So super versatile.

The other thing is you got these front and rear baskets. You can put your groceries in here, put your pickleball equipment in there, put your tennis rackets in there, your bags, your towels, anywhere you're going in the community, you can put it all in there. And you have a front and rear as well. So put stuff in the rear. In the front, put stuff in the rear. Got a huge display here, which will show your miles per hour, and how much range you have left on the battery. Battery is located below the seat. Now the other cool thing is your range on this is going to be up to 50 miles. Now I say up to, it's going to depend on how you're riding it, whether you're using the throttle. The throttle range is going to be somewhere around 15 to 20 miles if you're just doing throttle. So it also includes things like the weight of the rider, and again, like I said, how much you're using throttle, how much you're using pedal assist, all of that will affect the range as well. But that's a good range.

So you could ride this throughout the community during the day, not have to charge it, and then charge it at night to be ready to go for the next day. We've also got a disc brace on here, which stops on a dime. They provide a lot of stopping power. We've got other videos detailing that as well. Front and rear fenders, which are cool. The brown accent seat, this is a great option. Now the last thing I haven't shown yet is the folding capability. So it folds up right here. So if you need to store this inside your house or condo and you don't want to take up much space, you can fold that up right here. The handlebar also folds down as well, like this also makes for easy transporting if you need to throw it in a car or a truck bed, or an RV. If you do RVing, great option as well. So up to 400 pounds and up to speeds of 16 miles an hour. This was a great, great trike for indoor and outdoor use and getting around the community.

Now, moving on to the EVRYjourney. This is your cruising trike. So if you like to do long rides on a trail just to get out and enjoy the outdoors, this is perfect for it. Now, a little less powerful mo motor, a 250-watt motor, still going to take you up to speeds of 15 miles an hour. Very smooth, and very easy. Still has the throttle, the pedal assist, and you can ride it like a regular bike. Also has seven gears as well. Has a huge rear basket, a little bit bigger rear basket on this one. So again, same thing. You can still ride this throughout the community, go to your events or your activities, but also if you like to do like 1, 2, 3, 4, 10-mile rides, this is going to be a better option because you have the bigger tire. Once you get the momentum, it's going to roll a little bit easier. You're not going to have to pedal as much. So if you like cruising, you like getting out with the wind in your hair and you've got some straightaway paths, this is the best option.

Now the other thing I'll say about all these is you have an... Also an ergonomic upright riding position. So your back's going to be upright, your arms will be very relaxed, and on all of these, you're going to have four custom adjustment points. So you can adjust the seat and the handlebar perfectly to your body. You can tilt these, raise and lower them, tilt these, raise and lower them. You find the ideal heights and tilts for your body, and that's very important. If you're doing longer rides or if you have any pain or arthritis, you need to be able to custom adjust these to fit you perfectly. All right, now moving on to our last and what I think is one of the most fun electric tricycles we have, which is our E Rickshaw tricycle. And you can see right here we have a passenger seat on the back. So if you're living in the villages with your husband or your wife or your partner or friends and you guys want to cruise around together, put them on the seat here.

Now you can fit up to two adults on here, depending on the size of the adults. We've got videos showing all this. But let's say if you want to go out for a ride with your partner or loved one, one of you can sit on the back. The other one can drive. Now this is really cool. You have a throttle on this as well. You have the pedal assist on this as well, or you can ride it like a regular bicycle, totally up to you. So this is almost like a cross between an electric trike and a golf cart, right? So if you want something where you can still get exercise, but bring passengers, great, great options. So much fun. Again, check out the other videos. You'll see all the different things that we do with this. You've got the 20-inch by four-inch fat tires in the rear, and the 20-inch by four-inch fat tire in the front. So low center of gravity in the back, very, very stable. Huge 21 amp hour battery.

The range is going to be the same depending on if you have a passenger on here. The higher the load, the shorter the range obviously. If you're riding as a single passenger here, you're going to get more range. The other thing I will say is you can ride this like a trike by yourself or you can remove the seat going to. We have basket options that are also available to install on the back as well. So if one day you want to throw on the basket, feel free to do that. If the next day you want to throw on the seat, feel free to do that as well. So this is cool. Pick up your friends, ride to the pickleball courts, pick up your friends, ride to the beach, take your loved one, and your partner to the pool with you on the back here. We're going to have a basket underneath on our newer versions. So it's a ton of fun and very cool to ride around. Also, you're going to get bicycle parking with this versus golf cart or car parking.

So you never have to worry about being able to pull up close and being able to navigate around. So this E Rickshaw is a ton of fun and a lot of fun, especially in the villages or any retirement community for that matter.
