A fat tire e-trike you can ride in the rain.

Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. And today, I'm going to take this Simple Glide dual motor, dual battery, fat tire e-trike out in the rain because I got my canopy up here.All right, this is a Simple Glide dual motor, dual battery, max 1500-watt bike. It has 1500 watts of power and 30 amp hours of battery life. The cool thing is you have a 750-watt front motor, a 750-watt rear motor, and you can toggle between using one motor or both motors in order to keep it street legal if you have to stay under that 750-watt limit. Got a front basket and a rear basket.

Rain Testing

Our canopy is covering our battery to protect it from the elements. And then you've also got your canopy up here to keep you nice and dry, with your back shield as well. So if you do worry about rain or even sun, you can have some protection up there, and we're gonna get out, take you for a little ride, and show you how we do in the rain. Let me turn my camera on here for us. There we go. All right, now it's cold out here today too. And the water's making our brakes squeak just a little bit, which isn't a big deal. I'm trying to get... The other thing too is if you want to waterproof your cables, you should wrap some electrical tape around them.

And just keep out the rain. All right, I'm gonna turn back here. I don't know if this guy's going straight, where he's going. Now when I'm sitting here right now, I'm getting full coverage, which is nice. All right, I'm gonna turn around. So now I'm getting a little more coverage going this direction, and it's nice to have the canopy. So let's cruise on home. Now again, in a torrential downpour, you'd really need some side panels, but it's good if you know there's a chance of rain and you're worried about getting a little bit wet. Oh, the canopy will provide that coverage for you. Cruise on in. A lens there. Squeaks, things like your brakes get wet, they may squeak a little bit.
