E-Bikes & Bikes Customised to You
Hey guys, Dustin here, CEO of sixthreezero. Today, we're going to talk about how to finance the purchase of your e-bike. Stick around.
All right. So today we're going to answer the question, how to finance the purchase of your e-bike. Before we do, hit that subscribe button below, be the first to see all the new content we're putting out here at sixthreezero, and also, be in the know about the weekly, monthly contests we're doing for giveaways of bikes, e-bikes, and accessories.
All right. So let's jump into this. Now, obviously, electric bikes are a more expensive product than a lot of standard bikes, although not true in every case, because there are a lot of road and mountain bikes that cost several thousand dollars. But, to the average consumer, electric bikes are an expensive category, they range from as little as maybe $500 up to $10,000-$15,000. The average price points somewhere in the mid $2,000s. So, financing can be an important factor for a lot of consumers.
On our website, we actually use a platform called Affirm, and what this will do is, it won't affect your credit score. You only need to give five pieces of information, and you can actually finance that purchase with them, for up to 12 months. So you'll make roughly a payment of $150 a month, for 12 months, and in 12 months, you can pay off the bike completely. And you don't have to pay anything on that first time that you purchase. Affirm actually pays us. So, you will only have to make your installment payments. And you can actually choose. You can do three months, six months, 12 months, that's up to you.
So that's a great option, because one thing with e-bikes, I think, depending on how you're using it, but it really is a mode of transportation. An electric bike is something that could replace your car in some instances and actually get you to and from work, gets you to and from grocery stores, things of that nature. So if you think about paying $150 a month for a real-life motorized piece of transportation, it's a very minimal payment in the scheme of things. I think, when you look at something that's $2,000, $2,500, $3,000, it obviously feels a lot bigger as a one-time payment, which is why we offer to Affirm to really break it up over monthly installments. So, it's purchased in the same fashion that other modes of transportation will be purchased, like a car. So it's a really great option.
And, there are other platforms out there that you probably could use, that don't need to be integrated into our site with us. Affirm is integrated into our site, but there are other platforms out there that do similar things where you can get the money. The other thing too, and I haven't tried, but a suggestion, might be to talk to your bank. Some credit unions or banks may offer micro loans for things like electric bikes in this day and age, especially because they are becoming a more and more important piece of transportation in the world. So I would say, you can look into alternative financing options outside of Affirm, even though I believe it's a great option. But, if you're looking to extend those payments out into 18 months, two years, three years, I've never done it, but I would suggest talking to your bank. I really would. And, I think in this day and age, if they're not doing it now, over the next few years, I wouldn't be surprised if banks start to give those smaller loans, for bikes, especially, because more and more electric bikes are on the streets these days.
So, I hope that helps. I hope you can finance your purchase if that's what you like to do. If you have any other questions around this, please comment below or shoot us an email, firstname.lastname@example.org, or call us at (310) 982-2877.
