First Time Riding Mom’s Electric Trike...This ETrike Is So Easy My Daughter Learned in 2 Minutes!

Hi, I'm Kelli, and this is my Sixthreezero Simple Glide e-trike. This is the 750-watt trike with the fat tires on it, and I ride the trike all the time. My daughter has, this is my daughter Mallory, my daughter has ridden the bike before but I've never like really shown her the different aspects of the bike and so I thought we'd just record this while I'm showing her different things on it. So, I don't think you've ever actually turned it on. Okay, so the battery is down under the seat. You'll see the silver button. Go ahead and just push that in until... It'll either get a green or blue circle around it. There you go. And when you're sitting down, the armrest will come up. And so you can raise them to get on if it's easier for you. I sit down and actually turn and slide on.

But it may be easier for you to just step over. So whichever you want to do. So I think I'm going to do the armor. Okay. That's it. Just like you, I mean, you've done this part before. It's just getting it all going from the start. So this is where your power button is. So you'll press that in until your display comes on. Okay. And so now your display is on. So on your display, you've got your this is your battery life that you've got right now then your speedometer. Which is obviously zero because you're not going anywhere. This is your pedal assist. So you can either ride with full assist, where the bike just does all the work for you, or you can use pedal assist, where you're pedaling, and the bike does some of the work for you. So what does the one mean? Okay. The one is the lowest on pedal assist, and to change it, you can go up to five, and you press these buttons right here. So you've got a plus button and a minus right there.

Pedal Assist & Brakes

Okay, so one means that you pedal more, and five means you pedal less. I think so, yes. I don't pedal. I'll just let the bike do the work for me, and then to lower it, you just use the minus sign button, and it goes back down. Now, if you're going to use full pedal assist, you have to have it at least on one. You can go all the way down to zero. You're doing all the work then. Yes, that's just you. Yeah.

But if you're gonna use either pedal assist or full assist, you have to go at least up to one to get that to work. So, um, your brakes are here. You've got this brake and that brake over there. If you want to stop somewhere and put your brakes on, pull the handle in and then press this button right here that's gonna set your brake, so hold it down, let go of your brake, and let go of this.

Safety Controls & Adjustments

And now your brakes are set. To let go of it, just pull your brake back in. There you go. If you are pedaling all on your own, and you want to change the speed of the bike, so it'll be either easier or harder to pedal depending on the workout you want, this will raise it. This will lower to change your different speeds. This is a very important button. This is your kill switch, this red one. If all of a sudden everything's going wild, and you can't stop your bike, you don't know what to do, push that red button, and it'll kind of pop out a little bit. It's not a horn. No, it's not a horn. It will kill your bike. It'll turn off the power to it, and you'll stop. And it doesn't stop immediately.

You'll kind of glide a little bit and stop. And then what happens to me, if you get on the bike and everything looks like it's ready to go and you start to go...turn your, your throttle is right here too. So if you don't turn it right now, I'll go with you. I'm leaning on the bike over here. Um, but if you were to turn the throttle and it didn't go anywhere, if this kill switch is out, that means your bike's not going to go anywhere. It took me just a little while to figure that one out earlier. So, um, yeah. Uh, if you need to adjust the handles at all, you can adjust them up and down. Um, with this, uh, switch right here- or not a switch, but this latch, I guess, or clip. And then you can also adjust this one up and down. So. Okay. Okay. Any questions? I don't think so. Okay. I'm gonna sit back. Yeah, it'll go up to five, okay ready

Test Ride & Wrap-Up

Just twist it back. Okay, ready? To get some cute kitty footage while she's down that way. They're the cutest kittens around here. They're adorable. Back to the bike. Did you pedal? Really cool. Okay. But yeah, when I was going around to turn, it was easier for me to pedal instead of pulling back. Okay. For me personally. Yeah. So, yeah. I hadn't thought about that. Okay. I had better control. Questions or anything? No, it's super simple. Okay. Um, love it. Simple glide for a reason, I guess. I don't, right? All right, so that's how you can ride the simple glide. Awesome. Well, thank you for teaching me. I appreciate it. You're welcome.
