Explore Your Range Women's Bikes

Hey everyone, Dustin here, CEO of Sixthreezero, here to talk to you about the Women's Explore Your Range hybrid bike. Want to let you know where's this bike good to be ridden and who is this bike also great for? First, let me talk about who's the ideal candidate for this model of bike? This is a hybrid bike. Now it's not a super performance hybrid bike, it's a very recreational hybrid bike. What I mean by that is very simple, not too many bells and whistles, but a great around-the-town or very hard-pack trail hybrid bike. The ideal candidate for a bike like this, in my opinion, would be a college rider who's riding around college campuses, or just a general-purpose around the town bike. Maybe someone that runs some errands here and there, or also for someone who's looking for light exercise.

There's another model that I think the Pave 'n Trail is better for a little bit more aggressive of a rider, but this bike would be great for some medium speed, medium-range rides. And I can explain some of the features as to why it is good for those rides. I would say in terms of riders, I would say it's a recreational bike, but it can be a little bit more performance so if you're looking for very leisure, very comfort, this is probably not the right bike for you. If you're looking for something a little bit more performance, I would say, this is not right for you either. This falls right in the middle, it's a little bit of comfort, a little bit of performance, and is great for paved surfaces. I'll explain a little bit about the bike.

Number one, it has these medium-width tires. They're not super thin and they're not super thick. The great thing about that is this bike can be used either on paved surfaces or hard pack trails. Now it's still a pretty thin tire so I really would only recommend very, very hardpack trails with this particular model. If you think you're going to be doing more riding off the street or off paved surfaces, I'd recommend the Pave 'n Trail. That's a better option, or even the EVRYjourney which has a little bit of a thicker tire, it can endure the trail riding a little bit better.

The other thing too is the riding position of this bike is actually a complete upright ride. You're going to have your hands out in front, your back's going to be up and it's going to be completely in line with your hips. It's great from a comfort standpoint, you're not going to be straining your body, you're not going to be leaning forward. To that point, it's not an aggressive riding position so if you want to go really, really fast and you want to be a little bit more aggressive with your speeds, I wouldn't necessarily recommend this bike. Now with that said in our range of bikes, this is one of the higher performance, high-speed bikes. I'd put it in the same category as the Ride in the Park and the Pave 'n Trails.

With that said, you can see the grips are ergonomic grips so it's great for comfort on your hands. And then you also have a back rack back here. Now, the other thing about this bike is you do have a little bit more slim of a seat, although it's cushioned, which is geared a little bit more towards performance. It's not the most comfortable saddle, however, you can always change your saddles later, that's a very, very simple fix or an option to change or upgrade. But this one comes standard with a little bit performance-based so we're trying to find the balance on this bike between the performance and the comfort, that's why some elements are comfort, some elements are performance, it sits right in the middle.

Again, if you really just need a simple bike that you can get around town, but you want to get around town fast, this is a better option than a cruiser. A cruiser with a thicker tires are going to be a little bit clunkier and not roll as smooth on paved surfaces. I'm really thinking of somebody who college campus, they're riding around, have to get to classes fast, need something durable. These thicknesses of tires will take curbs very easily, but they'll still roll very smoothly.

Now I wouldn't recommend this bike for beginners or very casual riders, it doesn't have a complete step-through frame and the seat is not super, super comfortable. There are better options if you really want to go on the far side of recreation and leisure. But the benefit of this bike is it's very, very simple so if you just look at it, very simple frame, clean, has a back rack, there's not a lot of bells and whistles, there's not a ton of cabling, there are no fenders, there's no clunkiness to it. It's really the great, simple hybrid around-the-town bike.
