Now, the interesting thing about this topic is if it's truly an electric bike, then you can pedal it. I think that's the keyword is, is it an electric bike? There's a lot of electric mobility products out there. Scooters, tricycles, everything under the sun now really has an electric motor, skateboards.

If it is truly an electric bike, it can be pedaled. I think that's the key. And how to discern if it's an electric bike, does it have gears, does it have a chain, and does it have pedals? If it doesn't have pedals, it's not an electric bike. I can tell you that right off the bat. If you check out Sixthreezero's bikes, for example, they're basically, they look like standard bicycles. Now, what's becoming blurred now is the design of electric bikes, because they're starting to not look like a traditional bike frame. There are different frames, smaller frames, more futuristic-looking frames, lights on the frame, things I think that would make you believe that it's actually not a bike. But again, just look for the pedals, and if it has pedals, you can pedal.

To have the connotation of an electric bicycle, you have to have the ability to pedal. Most electric bikes are always going to give you the option to either pedal with the motor or pedal without the motor. I've personally yet to see an electric bike that forces you to use the electricity, because the reality is, is you can always turn the motor on and off. So if you turn that motor off, you can pedal like it's not an electric bike. You can just pedal like it's a standard bike. Again, don't be fooled if you see a scooter or something that doesn't have pedals and they're trying to call it a bike. It's definitely not a bike. Look for the pedals. Look for the chain. Make sure that you would have the ability to power it under your own ability.
