Electric Bikes on Sale | Where and When are E Bikes on Sale?!?!

Hey, everyone. I'm Dustin. I have over 15 years in the eBike and bicycle industry, and today I'm going to talk to you about electric bikes on sale and when's the best time to buy an eBike. Stick around.

All right. So today I'm going to talk to you about electric bikes on sale and when is the best time to find an eBike on sale and when you can purchase them. All right. So electric bikes are on sale. I have the Sixthreezero lineup here. Some of our eBikes and eTrikes. Now, a lot of people are looking to buy electric bicycles right now. One thing that may be holding some customers back is the price point. I know eBikes can be expensive for a lot of consumers. Sometimes 1,000, 2,000, even $3,000. You can find some electric bikes out there for 500, 600, or maybe even less than that. Just depends on your needs.

Now, with that said, a question we see a lot, or I see asked a lot on Google is, when are electric bikes on sale and when can I find eBikes on sale? Now, a few tips that you may already know about the bike industry. It is a very seasonal industry. Just like the ski industry, snowboard industry, and even something like Halloween or Christmas, which are seasonal, electric bikes and regular bikes, even though some places like California, Florida, and Texas, they're really year-round riding areas, the primary purchasing patterns of most people in the US are seasonal.

Now, if you're looking to find an eBike on sale, I would say the best time of the year is going to be Labor Day and even in October. Now, you may think of Black Friday, Cyber Monday, or Christmas. While that is true as well, those should be the lowest prices, sometimes Labor Day is going to be your best bet to find an eBike on sale because a lot of bike brands, eBike brands are coming off the summer, and whatever inventory they have left over, they don't want to carry that throughout September, October into the slow time. They'd much prefer to try to sell that off on Labor Day and have a clean slate to bring in the new inventory for the model year.

So, in my opinion, if you're looking for an electric bike on sale, the best time of the year to purchase is really Labor Day. Now, with that said, our bike brand, Sixthreezero, our best sales on our eBikes are going to be Labor Day, but also Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Now, if you're heading into after January, you'll find some sales in January, and February for eBike companies still looking to move inventory because generally, it's very slow for all eBike brands, Sixthreezero for us as well. It basically moves like this throughout the year. Starts slow, peaks in about June has a little plateau in July, starts to come back down, and has a small peak in December.

So obviously, most people are looking for bikes and eBikes getting into about April, May, and June. As I said, that's the peak. That's when prices are really going to be at their highest. Now, it's supply and demand. Obviously, if you want an eBike and it's May, you're not going to want to necessarily wait until September. The same is true with a lot of seasonal products, right? Outdoor furniture, grills, and things like that, where you may not want to purchase it in the winter and sit on it until the following year. But again, if you're strictly looking for the sale and the best price, you're not going to want to buy in the middle of May, in the middle of June, or in the middle of July, because quite honestly, all eBike brands are making sales and the demand is absolutely at the peak.

So again, that's the strategy. The strategy is to try to shoot for Labor Day. That's going to be your best deal. You might be able to catch some sales in January and February, but my thought is it's not going to be as good of pricing on the eBikes on sale as they would be Labor Day, October, or even Black Friday, Cyber Monday. And again, if you can, don't purchase in the middle of summer because that's when the price is not necessarily going to be at its highest, but most manufacturers, brands, and stores are going to hold to their MSRPs in the middle of the summer.
