ELECTRIC BEACH CRUISER BIKES: I've Tried 20 & Here are My Top 2 Picks - Cruiser E Bikes

I've tried 20 different electric beach cruiser bikes and these are my top two picks. Stick around to see them.

Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. Today I'm going to show you my top two picks for electric beach cruiser bikes, but before I get into it, hit that subscribe button below. Stay in touch with us here at Sixthreezero. Be the first to know about all the new content we're putting out, giveaways we're doing, and of course new product releases.

All right, I've tested over 20 Electric Beach Cruiser bikes and these are my top two picks. Tons of feedback, tons of input, and tons of test riding have led me to the point of these being the top two picks. This is the EvryJourney Electric Cruiser, a hybrid cruiser bike from Sixthreezero, and the simple step-through hybrid cruiser, e-bike as well. Both of these are linked in the description below if you want to check them out. They're also going to be linked in the upper right-hand corner of the video. You can click here to navigate over to their product pages and check them out.

All right, so let's get into the details of them and why I love them. Let's start here with a simple step through e-bike. A 500-watt rear hub motor with a 10.4 amp hour battery. That means speeds up to 20 miles an hour with just the throttle, 28 miles an hour in the pedal assist, and you have five levels of pedal assist, and also a range of up to 50 miles depending on the combination of pedal assist and throttle that you use while riding. And also the weight of the rider, the terrain of the rider, and the winds at the time of the ride.

Now, the cool thing about this electric cruiser bike is this low step-through right here on the e-bike. You can see it's only 11 inches high. You can step through the frame and easily mount or dismount. And when you're on, you have that real traditional cruiser comfort riding position where your back is upright, the bars are curved into your body, you're not leaning forward at all, and you can just enjoy the ride without feeling pain in your body at all. So I love it for that. You've also got four custom adjustment points. The tilt of the seat, the raisin, the lower of the seat, the tilt of the handlebars, and the raise and lower of the handlebars, so it's awesome to dial it into your body.

If you want to come up here on the handlebars as well, I'll show you on the display here. Now the cool thing is it's an inconspicuous display. So if you like the design and the simplicity, it's got a nice display here. You've got everything you need. Your battery life, which is almost dead, you've got five levels of pedal assist here, one, two, three, four, five. One gives you the least amount of assistance, five gives you the most. This is your miles per hour and your odometer here as well. And here is your throttle, so if you want to use the throttle and not pedal, you have that option. You've also got seven speeds right here. Now these are not part of the electrical system. These are just so you have seven gears if you want to use them while you're pedaling. It's nice to have those with the pedal assist so you can keep up with the power of the pedal assist by having the gears upfront here.

Now the other cool thing, I'm going ahead and hopping off. You've got the traditional cruiser tires here, which are great. These aren't 1.95-inch tires, which are going to absorb a lot of the shocks, bumps, and bruises, and they're going to go over curbs nice, great for around-town riding to have these. Also for balance and things like that, they're awesome as well. And you can see you have your battery here, which can easily be removed and charged from there, so I love it for that reason. You also have four colorway options for this electric cruiser bike. You've got the navy here, a cream, a teal, and a matte black, and you've got this brown accent color here on the grips and seat, which is cool. Something so much different than all the other e-cruisers that exist out there. Just makes it look classy and nice and different. I love it for that.

But the huge benefit of this is really the easy on and off, the safety, the easy mounting and dismounting, but altogether it makes it one of my top picks because it's comfortable, it's safe, I think it looks really good as well.

Now last thing I'll just mention is front and rear disc brakes for proper stopping power, they're going to stop you easily downhill, whether you're going 20 miles an hour, even downhill up to 30 miles an hour, you can pull the lever and they're very, very responsive and they work great.

Now, if you want to see other videos of the simple step-through as well, check out our channel. We've got tons of other people taking test drives on this, giving their testimonials so you can see firsthand how much they enjoy this e-bike.

All right, now moving over to the EvryJourney electric beach cruiser. This is cool. Again, you've got the same colorway options as the simple step-through. A few more. We've got a jade straw, we've got a periwinkle, we've got an ash amber for men. Whole different assortment. I should say for men, actually for anyone that likes that color, that exists as well.

Now, not as low of a step through as the simple step through, but still a step through. But you have something called a forward-pedaling design. Now what that is, the pedals are moved forward six inches. You can see right here, typically the pedals fall directly below the seat. We've moved them forward six inches, which means that the seat can be lower, but you're going to get ample leg extension while riding. Now, what's the benefit of the seat being lower? The benefit is that your feet can be flat on the ground when stopped, like so, you can safely balance yourself right here. So when you're stopping, if you want to make sure your feet are down to the ground, you can put them there. Now, I will say the seat's too low for me right now. I'm just showing you an example case here. But you can get your feet flat on the ground, really balance, and control the bike. It's nice. Again, if you have any fear at all or you're worried about balancing and you want to get your feet down, but still get ample leg extension when riding, this is the bike for you, and with the pedal assist and the throttle, it's nice to be able to get your feet down, again, so you feel like you have a little bit more control.

Now, up here you have the same kind of display. It's a little bit different than the simple step-through. Same principle. You have your five levels of pedal assist here and you have your throttle right here as well, and you got your battery, pedal assist level, your miles per hour. It's all conveniently located up here. You can turn that on and off. Going to go ahead and turn it off now. Okay. Okay, now moving up here to the handlebars, you have the same kind of ergonomic riding position. I'm going to raise the seat just to show you guys what I look like in a more comfortable position here. Clamp that down. It's an easy quick release, step on. Okay. Now you can see I can still get my feet down. The bars come into your body, which allows your back to be upright. A very similar riding position as the simple step through. You don't have to hunch forward. A truly traditional comfort cruiser e-bike position that is just ... It's awesome and fun to ride.

You also have the seven speeds here as well if you want to ride it like a normal bike. You can check those out right here. You have the front and rear disc brakes and a 10.4 amp hour battery as well. Again, up to 50 miles on your rides, up to 20 miles an hour in pedal assist, and 28 miles per hour. Sorry, 20 miles an hour with the throttle and 28 miles an hour in pedal assist. You can see the keys hanging out of the battery there as well, and you can easily remove the battery. This is the same process on both of these two e-bikes. You'd pull your battery out like that, and you can take it and charge it. You can remove the key. You don't have to leave it there. We've just left it in there so we don't lose it. And yeah, your brake calipers are up here. Those are comfortable.

So two e-cruisers, both very comfortable. One with a very low step-through, one with a forward pedaling design that allows you to be low to the ground. I love these if you're looking for an electric beach cruiser. These are my two top picks. And if you have any questions about either of them, navigate to our YouTube channel, which you may already be there, and you can check out tons of other videos. I have lots of people riding, test riding both of these. We have seniors, young adults, and middle-aged adults. All different types of people. You can see their experiences. We also demo more of the features, I take test rides, so you can check those videos out as well. Again, they're linked in the description below if you want to check them out on the Sixthreezero website, and if you have any other questions, pop them in the comments section. I'd love to hear them. Or you can email us, at theteam@sixthreezero.com, or call us. (310) 982-2877.

In addition to that, we have a 30-day test ride with your e-bike policy. If you don't love it in 30 days, send it back, no questions asked, no money out of your pocket. In addition to that, we're going to warranty everything for a year. If anything goes wrong in a year, we'll take care of it, parts and labor, to make sure you can continue to ride.

Lastly, join our Facebook Pedalers group. There are thousands of existing Sixthreezero riders there. Talk to them before you buy your e-bike. Get their opinion, and see how they like their e-bike. Then once you have your e-bike, post in the group, and make friends. It's tons of fun. In addition, we have a Sixthreezero app. You can track your rides, and compete on the leaderboard. That is a lot of fun as well. So thank you for sticking around and don't forget, it's your journey, your experience. Enjoy the ride.
