E-Bike With Two Front Wheels? New Rider Tries a Reverse ETrike & Gives Honest Review

Hi, it's Diane, and I'm at sixthreezero, and today I'm going to test drive the two front wheel e-bike, and I don't know what to expect here. This looks a little bit different from anything I've tried in the past. Again, I'm test-riding a variety of models with different features to see what might be the best fit for me as I transition from road and mountain biking to e-bikes. I don't know what to expect. We're gonna do this together, okay? I will tell you the features that it has that I'm identifying right off the bat. This has drive and reverse. We also have our pedal assist. We have a throttle, and we have seven gears. So very similar to the other bikes that I've tested. So it looks like a regular bike, except there are two wheels in the front. And again, I don't really know what to expect, but that's why we test ride a variety of different options. So who knows, maybe this will be the best one for me. I did go through a little debrief with my trusted photographer, who knows a videographer who knows all the different options on the bike, because again, it's so important to understand what those are before you jump on. So this one actually has a kickstand like a traditional bike. It has kind of like the simple step through, which is what I call all their bikes right now, the first one I rode. So I'm gonna come on this side, but see how easy it is to get from one side to the other. We have a wider seat and a little back support, which is great. So, all right, I'm on the bike, and I am going to, I always start with the throttle when I'm going from zero to start because it's easy. So I always start with a little bit of throttle when I start because it's easier going. Oh, okay. So I stopped because I don't know why. I don't know why I stopped. I'm going to start again, and I'm using the throttle. All right now. So I think the difference with this bike, and you know, is that the pedals are, it's more like a traditional bike. So I don't have the forward pedal. I almost feel like they're just up and down like a regular bike, but I've been test riding so many e-bikes lately.

I feel the pedals might be a little bit, I don't know, further back might be my thought. And it just, I guess, threw me for a loop. I don't know why I stopped. I just did. Safety first. I was afraid of this bike just because of the way it looked, I guess. I don't know. But it's actually really easy to ride. I mean, it's kind of like riding your road bike. So coming up, there's a car right here. Looks like he's backing up. So I'm just going to stop for a sec. It's very comfortable. And again, we've got our display right in the front. So again, I'm going to start with the throttle just to get going. We've got seven gears. I'll go out to the street for a little bit. Not far, though, to see what that feels like. So right now I'm in pedal assist one, I'm in fifth gear. Oh, we shouldn't be afraid of new things because this is actually easy. I feel very stable. It's a windy day out here. It's just a little different having the two wheels in the front as opposed to having the two wheels in the back. But it doesn't mean I don't know, like the steering feels really easy. It's a very smooth ride. Okay, so I'm gonna attempt a U-turn here and see how that goes. Oh, it's actually nice, I don't know why I took my foot off the pedal. It's got a nice turn radius. It's just like riding, it's kind of just like riding a road bike, if I'm gonna be honest. very comfortable. This, I'm going to go up to pedal this too, just because we're going up a little hill. And I'll tell you again, I love having the display in the front because I can tell exactly how fast I'm going. Yeah, this reminds me more of a traditional bike. I'm going to have to do a little research and find out what the benefit is of having the two wheels in the front, because I honestly don't know. And I think I'm gonna go this way. I'll tell you, this bike is quick, and it is stable, and it's very quiet. It's a very quiet bike.

It's much easier to ride than I thought it would be. I don't know, I was afraid. Don't be afraid of anything new. Okay. So let me get off this way. And then I want to tell you a little bit. There's a kickstand here. So with the bikes that I've ridden so far from sixthreezero, again, I'm going through a plethora. I want to make sure I'm making the right decision as I journey into this new world of e-bikes. This, to me, is most like my road bike. The ride was very smooth. This is a very fast bike, in my opinion. I was only in pedal assist one or pedal assist two, actually. I love the display here. The pedal assist is so easy to use, as is the throttle. The brakes are nice. I didn't switch gears on this particular ride because I didn't feel the need to do it. The seat is wide and comfortable. Unlike a road bike, you guys know you sit down on your road bike, and it's uncomfortable after the first couple of minutes. Plus, you have this nice back support. So I don't know why I was a little nervous when I saw this bike to try it, but you've got to try a bunch of different bikes to see what is the best fit for you. And I like this bike. It's very, again, I'm gonna do my own research. I'm gonna ask them what the benefit is of the two front wheels because I want to know. But this is a great bike. I recommend that you come out to sixthreezero, right in San Clemente. Try all these different bikes and see what the best fit is for you as you make your transition into the world of e-bikes or e-trikes. Thanks for watching and coming on this ride with me. And if you have any comments or questions, drop them in the comment section below, and we'll do our best to answer. I hope you have a great day. Thanks again for coming out.
