E Bike Review: Seniors Reveal Their Top Electric Bike Choice - You'll Be Shocked by Their Ebike Pick

Speaker 1: All right, I'm here with Jackie, Saul and Johnny. Jackie's in the 55 plus, Saul's 63, and Johnny's 55. They've just experienced e-bikes for the first time today and they rode everything we have back here, the Sixthreezero EvryJourney Rickshaw, the Zip and Fold, the EZ Transit Trike, and the Simple Step Through. And so Johnny, I'm curious, out of all four of the bikes you've ridden, give me a little bit of feedback about what you like most about which model and then just also, even though the ones you don't like, what you experienced and what you liked about those.

Johnny: Right. I like the features on all four of them, especially the bigger one because if you have a family member, you can go to the beach and you can ride up to three if you have two small kids. But that's what I like, and I felt safe and sturdy because it's really heavy duty. That's what I like about this one. This one is here for more off-roading, that was the one I picked. Plus I like the way that it folds up for storage. This one here is probably not for me, but I do like the storage. And the best feature is the backup, the reverse thing, because you don't have to turn around, you can just park it in your garage and back up. And that also folds up for the storage. And I like the mirrors because it is not a fast bike, so you want to know who's coming up behind you. So I like this one. But for me, this is the winner. This is if we're not being-

Speaker 1: The Simple Step Through.

Johnny: Yeah, it is because you get right on it and you're ready to go. And it just seems very basic, very easy. And you can make it fast, you can make it slow. Don't need the mirrors on this one because you're going to be probably beating everybody else. But if I had to choose one, this is my favorite, this will be the one I would use if I was just getting into the market, and I could upgrade to the off-road later. And then when I get another significant other, I would maybe take that one in

Speaker 1: And ride with them?

Johnny: Yeah because in the back you can put your picnic stuff underneath. So that's my opinion. This is the winner, I'm going to take it home with me.

Speaker 1: Well, you can take a test ride here in a second.

Johnny: Okay.

Speaker 1: All right, Jackie, we'll go to you next. So you rode the two trikes, you were a little too short for the other ones, but what do you think about the trikes?

Jackie: I love them. I felt like a kid again, going to have an adventure on my swim bicycle. Yeah, I don't need to upgrade to that one because I felt the sturdiness and I still could go fast. And I like everything that Johnny said, and that is good, I could put a boyfriend back there or my cat, probably my cat.

Speaker 1: What did you think of the steering of that one? Easy to steer? Easy to drive?

Jackie: Yeah. I didn't have any difficulty. I mean you have to be conscious that it's bigger, but no, I didn't have any wipeouts or anything.

Speaker 1: Cool. And then what about this trike right here?

Jackie: That is cute. I liked it because I'm short. It's easy to hop on. You could go out to the beach and you got to get a quick getaway. You just hop on the bike and ...

Speaker 1: Could you sit on this one and show us how you look sitting on it? I'm just curious because you're 5' 2'', right?

Jackie: I am 5' 2''. Where did I put my surfboard?

Speaker 1: We can get you a surfboard rack.

Jackie: That's cool. I don't surf, but you know what? And I hadn't biked for a long time, so I think this is just a progression. The natural progression is biking and surfing.

Speaker 1: Yeah. Do we need the seat lower or is that seat okay?

Jackie: We're going to find out.

Speaker 1: All right.

Jackie: I think it's okay, see how fast I got up here.

Speaker 1: Beautiful.

Jackie: It's not wobbly. It's very sturdy. Even though it's smaller, I don't feel like it is unsafe at all. I feel safe.

Speaker 1: Cool. All right Saul, last but not least, what was your feedback on all the bikes, and then what was your choice out of all of them?

Saul: Okay. Great, secure feeling to it. It's just solid. And yes, if there was somebody to take there, you fit them on the back, got an area underneath to take stuff with you, you could plan a day with someone on that. So that would be useful.

Jackie: Date bike, date bike.

Saul: My favorite because I feel like it's very zippy. I feel like you could take it anywhere, and it's got the power, and you can just really maneuver it easily. Prefer this on the trikes, but that's because I'm a single guy, so I can go plan a day, and I can throw the stuff I need back there. I'm going to head to the beach and I'm just going to spend it there. I can fit everything I need on this, a little more easily maneuverable than the large one. That I just don't need. I like that bike. It's more of a cruiser, like a motorcycle, it would be a hog, and this thing is a little bit more of a kind of crop truck, you can move on it. So distinctly different, I mean it's really whatever your specific need is, that each one has a design that works. But for me, that's the go-to.

Speaker 1: Cool. All right, you guys want to hop on it?

Jackie: Can I say one more thing?

Speaker 1: Oh, yeah you can.

Jackie: The leather handles and the leather seat are a nice touch.

Saul: Yeah, that is cool.

Jackie: Because I know that I spent a lot of money on a car and it's a gorgeous car, but it does not have a leather interior and I don't feel as lovely in it.

Speaker 1: Well, these are synthetic leather, so vegan approved.

Jackie: It doesn't matter.

Speaker 1: Okay.

Jackie: Yeah, I mean it's a nice classy touch. I think I'm connected. I think we're going to take a double ride here.

Speaker 1: Oh, hit the brakes if you need to. There you go. And then do you want to turn the power on so you can take a little ride?

Jackie: Sure, power on.

Saul: There you go. And yeah.

Jackie: Does Siri help you with this?

Speaker 1: You can try. She might play music for you.

Jackie: What's her name, Alexandria? No, Alexis. Alexandria.

Speaker 1: All right, well there we go. We got Johnny, 55, who chose the Simple Step Through, Jackie, 55 plus, who chose the EZ Transit and Saul, 63, who chose the Zip and Fold. And the Rickshaw's a great choice for anyone on date night, they said. So enjoy the ride guys.

Jackie: My friend on the tractor. Yeah, I like this.
