If you are looking to get an electric trike, one of the reasons may be because you have balance issues, or you don't have the balance that you once had, and maybe that is a huge concern if you want to be safe. You don't want to tip over, but you're concerned. What if I am on a trike and I lose my balance while I'm out riding? My number one suggestion is to opt for a trike with a wider wheelbase, a fatter tire, or a recumbent style. Minimal risk of tipping, and I kind of have these in the order of stability. So number one is most stable, number two, and these are kind of tied for number two, to be honest. I've done hundreds of test riders with all different types of riders types and levels and abilities, and ages. They all come back to this one as the most balanced, least likely to tip, so they don't have to worry about falling, and I'm going to walk you through why. So, number one to start, if you can tell, this is a recumbent-style trike. You can see that having that longer frame creates a more stable base for this e-trike.
So when you turn, you don't have to worry about the wheels coming up in the back. If you have a more compact standard trike, the rider's going to sit up higher, and that's where a lot of the fall risk comes from. When you have the weight higher up, if you lean or tilt the wrong way and you get your weight going in a certain direction, you could tip the trike, with the lower center of gravity, even if I lean here, right, it's not going to lift those rear tires. This makes it incredibly safe to turn on. Now you can see on the fat tire version if you wanna upgrade to the bigger motor and the wider tires, you have four-inch wide tires on this version, so double the tires of this one, even increasing the stability. So this is the ultimate in terms of fall prevention on an e-trike. You can turn on this, you can do whatever, and you'll never tip. All of these also have a rear differential in the back. On a lot of trikes, when you pedal, you only power one of the wheels. What this does with the differential is that when you pedal, you send power to both of the rear wheels.
So that's going to help with the traction and stability of your e-trike. So when you're taking turns, or if you're on loose, you might ride over some loose sand or something, having both of those tires get power will keep traction down again to add to the safety and stability of the e-trike. So it's a really, really cool feature to have. Another thing that I see happen with a lot of people who have a risk of falling is if you're sitting upright on a small seat, there could be the risk of you just falling off the seat, right? So let's say you start leaning and you slip out of the seat. The cool thing about this version is you have these armrests, right? So as you step in, you sit down. Now you put your armrests down, and you are safe and secure in the seat. So it's not a seatbelt, but it keeps your body tucked in, right? So if you just so happen to get going in a certain direction, the armrests are going to keep you in. It is a nice feature to have if you have bad balance and you're worried about you know, you don't feel safe on the seat, or the seat feels too small and you want to feel like you're a part of the trike, right? So you've got this nice big seat where it keeps you in the cockpit of the trike.
The controls are super easy. The handlebars come right into your body. It is the ultimate comfort trike, coupled with being the safest trike that's just not going to tip over. And it's got all of these features to prevent anyone from falling on it at all. Here we go. I'm pedaling to So Constance, you don't seem to be concerned or worried, or fearful at all. I feel a hundred percent confident. She's like Go faster. Yeah. It's different steering with these bikes. I love it. Key to go the opposite way of the turn. That was a good pointer. Thank you for that. What did you think of the ride in this one? This one's got serious power. I like the feeling of sitting back. It's comfortable, isn't it? Let's move the seat back a little bit more. Okay, so you just pull this up or down and slide back. Yep. Oh, nice. Yeah. Nice. Cozy. You know, yeah. Love it. Love leaning back. Yeah? Yeah, just bringing, yeah, sitting back. Did you feel more balanced on this one than on these two? And it was easier to make turns on this. Okay. Yeah, yes. I did feel, yes. And the power, good power? The power was great. And then when you're, you know, have those, you know, 100 yards, lean back and see everything. I love leaning back. Yeah. It's very comfortable, yeah.
Trikes, e-trikes, which one's your favorite? Okay. This is the most comfortable of them all, and this is kind of practical for just one person, but I have a huge family, and this would be so comfortable for everybody. Yeah. If you had to choose one, which one would you choose? Wow. It's so difficult. If I could only choose one, then I think I'd have to go with this because it has some of that. It has some of this, and I can do things on it as well. Okay, so you'd go with the Simple step through Fat Tire. Yeah, and I could put stuff on the back, and then I could also take it on the boardwalk, and I'd have to just lean back to have the same wonderful feeling of that bike, which is phenomenal, and have some of that first one because that first one is just amazing. So this could be your utility one. This could be your fun performance one. It really would be. And then I would get that. I would buy those three.
