Bike HACK: Loosen a Tight Handlebar Stem Bolt

Hey everyone, Peter Kaltreider here, SixThreeZero e-bikes. Here's a little bike hack about how to loosen your handlebar stem bolt. Okay, so sometimes the handlebar stem bolt, which is the one that holds the handlebar here to your stem, is a little tight. There's a really quick, easy way to fix it. I'll just show you here from a wide shot, then we'll come in a little closer. You're provided with a little Allen wrench, but it doesn't have a whole lot of length to it, so you can't get a whole lot of torque. This might be hard to loosen right here, or you can just leave the tool in there, then you can use your seat post like this and just slip it over the wrench. Then it'll give you a whole lot of leverage to pop that loose. All right, and we'll do a little close-up shot here to show you how it's done.

We're just looking at this bolt right here. We want to get it loose, and sometimes that's just a little too short to really get the torque that you need, so simply slip your seat post over there, then you can just ... lefty loosey, just like that, make it nice and loose. Then you can adjust your handlebars all you need, that's all there is to it. I truly hope that that was helpful for you. If you liked it, please do like it and hit subscribe.
