Best Tricycle For Adults - A Trike Review

Hey guys. I'm Dustin, and I'm going to show you the best tricycle for adults, so stick around.

All right, so today I'm going to show you the best tricycle for adults, but before I do, hit subscribe below, and stay in touch with us here at Sixthreezero. Be the first to know about all the new products we're putting out, new content, and of course, giveaways we do for bikes, e-bikes, and accessories. Also, visit our website sixthirezero.com where you can check out this tricycle for adults on our page, and also see all the products, and other products we offer as well. All right, so tricycles are for adults. A lot of people haven't ridden a tricycle since they were a child, but tricycles for adults are a very popular segment of the cycling industry. There are a lot of riders out there that either has balance issues or injuries or just as you get older, you may feel safer on a tricycle of three wheels where you can balance.

And so tricycles are gaining more and more popularity. And so today I'm going to show you the best tricycle for adults. And so without further ado, the EvryJourney Electric Tricycle for adults. Now, you may have picked up on the one word I just said there, which was electric. Now, even though this is an electric tricycle, I'm going to show you why I believe more people should be choosing electric for their tricycles. There are a lot of reasons why, and I'm going to show them to you and explain them to you, but this is the tricycle I believe is the best tricycle for adults. Now, starting off, there are a couple of things. If you've never seen an electric tricycle before, the beauty of it in particular with this one is you can ride it like a regular tricycle if you so choose. So there's a mode here on this particular bike.

You can keep this at level zero and you can ride this like a regular tricycle. So the beauty of opting for an electric tricycle is it can go both ways. You can use it without the electric assist or with the electric assist. If you were to choose a regular tricycle, you are not going to have the option obviously of the assist, with the electrical assist. In this case, this also has a throttle, so you can in fact push the throttle and let the bike do all the work. One thing I'll say too is if this bike is something you're interested in, check out the rest of our YouTube. We have a ton of videos on the Sixthreezero EvryJourney Electric Tricycle, and you can get more information and more details. Now, the beauty of this, let me show you. I'm going to hop on and I am going to put this into level zero and I'm going to show you, you can see that I can pedal this.

Now, I'm in gear two. It feels a little bit harder. You can go ahead and downshift. There we go. So now it's a little easier. So now I'm just riding this like a regular tricycle without assistance. And really, the additional weight is less than 15 pounds when you add in the electricity. So you're not going to feel it that much when you ride. You have your battery here and your front hub motor is in the front there. Believe it or not, the motor is contained in that front hub. Now, here's the beauty. If you want to ride it like a regular trike, you can actually remove the battery and decrease the weight by eight pounds, and now you've essentially just turned this into a regular tricycle. And this just clicks right back in. You have a key here to lock it. That is very easy to remove.

So you can ride it without any electrical assistance at all. Super easy. The beauty of having assistance is you can do so much more with this trike by having that. You probably, if you've never ridden a trike as an adult, you will know that it can be not hard to pedal, but it's going to be harder than a regular bike because you have three wheels touching the ground. So that's three wheels that can give you resistance. So when you add in the ability of this to give you assistance, I can click this into... It has five levels of pedal assist, right? So if you want to go longer distances, uphills, now you have the electric assist to give you the ability to do more. So if I just start pedaling a little bit, you feel the assistance kick on, and then it's just super easy.

You can see I don't even need to pedal now, I can coast. And so on pedal assist mode, I can hit up to speeds of 20 miles an hour depending on the terrain and the rider of... The weight of the rider. And in pedal assist, you can go anywhere from 15 to 18 depending on the weight of the rider as well. Also, the terrain plays a factor in that. But having... You're going to spend obviously a little bit more to have the electric assist, but you're going to be able to get so much more out of this. Longer distances, and like I said, this now becomes also a form of transportation. You can put 50, or 60 pounds in this basket. We've actually weight tested this bike before and we were able to still do throttle only up to 850 pounds. You can see that video on our YouTube as well.

So you can turn this into a mode of transportation. Now, a regular trike, it's going to be harder if you want to carry heavier loads and go longer distances. Also, the beauty. Five levels of pedal assist. So if you just want a little bit of pedal-assistance, put it in level one. A little bit more, level two. A little bit more, level three. So you really have the option, and so it just broadens the horizons of how you can use this tricycle as an adult. In addition, it comes with seven gears. Now, these gears are on a derailleur, so it's just like a seven-speed bike. You can shift from one to seven. So if you're going to ride this like a regular trike, with no electricity, you have a gear ratio from one to seven. One speed will be to go up hills, and seven-speed will be to go fast on flat ground.

So it really gives you the variance you need to ride different types of topography. Hills, no hills, flat, you name it. The range you're going to get out of this with the electricity is about 30 to 50 miles. Now, that depends on the weight of the rider, the terrain hills, and also what combination of pedal assist and throttle. You're going to drain more of the battery by just using the throttle, and less of the battery by just doing pedal assist or pedaling regular, obviously. But even the assistance levels you use dictate how quickly or slowly you drain the battery. If you're using just level assistance one, you're going to get 50 miles. If you're using levels five, you're going to get 30, or in some cases, maybe 25 depending on the hills and things like that. So in addition to that, you have front and rear hand brakes for safety.

I talked about the top speeds. The other thing is the ergonomic riding position. So this bike is really geared for comfort. You can see I'm in a perfect upright riding position. My back is relaxed, my arms are relaxed, I don't have to bend over, and the handlebar comes into my body. And then the other benefit is a step-through frame. So mounting and dismounting, you can just come right here and pull your leg through, and to get on again, just put your foot through, and then you can just step right on, put your foot here, hold the brakes, and now you've mounted the bike. So that's a huge plus. If you have trouble getting on and off, you have arthritis, you've had knee surgery, hip surgery, something that'll prohibit you from really lifting your leg, this is an easy on-off, an easy on-off. Now, the other thing I'll demonstrate too is this throttle, how simple it is. It's a thumb throttle, and all you're going to do is push.

So if we're in level five, and you can see you get going so easily. So while you are going to spend a little bit more money to buy an electric tricycle, you're going to get so much more out of it, and it's going to broaden the horizons of how and what you can do. And the reality is this can be your commuting tool for 5, 10, or 15 miles if you so choose. On a regular tricycle, it's going to be much harder work to go north of 5, 10 miles. But with this little bit of assistance, it just greatly, greatly, greatly expands the possibilities. So this is what I believe to be the best tricycle for adults.
