A bicycle made for two or three? A must-see two-person bicycle. Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. And today I'm going to show you a bicycle made for two or three. Right here is the EVRYjourney electric Rickshaw. This is an e-bike made for two or three, and four, five, or six. Now, let me explain. You can see on the back here, it has a seat. Where you can fit up to two adults or three children. The other bonus feature it has is that there's a hitch back here where you can attach an additional row of seating to fit another one, two, or three passengers. So you can get a lot of people riding on this electric Rickshaw. Now, the cool thing about this, as I said, is that it is electric, has a motor in the front wheel here, 750 watts, and also a 21 amp-hour battery. So you can achieve speeds of up to 20 miles an hour on this and a range of 50 miles. Two ways to engage the electric motor. One is when you pedal, you can utilize the motor to assist you while pedaling, and you have five levels of assistance you can use. Or there's a throttle on here that you can press, and this bike can go without you pedaling at all.
So it's cool, especially if you do have up to 500 pounds on this bike, having the throttle is nice if you do want to give your legs a break. Another cool thing is you've got hydraulic disc brakes that stop this easily. You have your display up here. All your controls are up here. You have a horn built in as well. Underneath the seat back here, you have storage. There is a latch that folds down with the door, and you can fit things under the seat, and you can see that getting on and off is quite easy. I'm 5’11 230 pounds, and I can sit back here comfortably, and I could have an additional passenger right here as well. Now, depending on the size of the adults, it can get snug back here. I have fit my wife back here before with me. Two smaller adults could fit even easier, or you could get three children back here. And of course, one passenger rides completely comfortably. You also have a seat belt back here to buckle in your passengers to make sure that they're safe. And it is quite comfortable. You have the footrest here to ride comfortably as well. And actually, for the rider, very comfortable also. You can see the handlebars come into your body. And my back is nice and upright, and I don't have to reach, and my arms are nice and relaxed when I grab onto the handlebars.
if you are looking for a two-person bike, a bicycle is made for two. This is a cool way where you can alternate who's driving and who's not. One person can enjoy the ride in the back. Or if you have someone that you want to take on bike rides who's just not capable of pedaling anymore, that's great too. They can sit back here and just enjoy the ride. And the benefit for the person up here is they can utilize that electric assist as they want to take a break, or as their legs start to Fatigue, you can then utilize the electric assist. So, a lot of fun, a lot of things that this Rickshaw is capable of. And if you want to see more videos of us out riding with passengers, go to our YouTube channel. There are tons of videos of us with passengers on the back here. So you can see more thorough demonstrations. Now, I'll just give you a quick demonstration. I'm just one person here, I'm going to raise the seat a little bit. Okay, like so. All right. Now, again, this is a three-wheel bike, so you do have three wheels on the ground.
The difference is when you get on, it balances on its own. When you're riding, the way that it steers is a little bit different than a two-wheel bike. You have to steer the handlebars. Leaning isn't going to do anything in terms of steering. The shifting of body weight does help to keep the two wheels on the ground. But with the Rickshaw, it's so balanced and heavy that you don't necessarily even need to lean or shift your body weight to steer it. So you just turn on the power right here. It's very easy. There's a throttle like this, and you can just press that and go, and you're off. That's one way. Or like I said, you pedal, and then the assistance kicks in. Or you can turn the motor off completely, which I just did right now, and I can just pedal. So it's really up to you. Then when you turn the assistance on, you'll feel the motor kick in and it gives you the ability to go faster. So really makes it easy for two people to go out for a bike ride, enjoy the outdoors, and bring a passenger with you. A lot of fun, really enjoyable.
