4 Electric Trikes with MASSIVE Baskets – Perfect for Grocery Runs!

The best reverse-tilting electric trike. You're going to want to see this.

Hey everyone, I'm Dustin. I have nearly 20 years of experience in the bike and e-bike industry. Today I'm gonna show you the best reverse tilting electric trike. You can see this tilt right here. Right here is the sixthreezero reverse-tilting electric trike. We have the fat tire version and the standard tire version. Now, this is a super cool product and one of the best reverse-tilting electric trike designs I've ever seen, and you can see here, it has the tilting steering where, when you lean, the wheels lean with you. Also, if one goes up, the other stays down. So, going over bumps and off-roading becomes softer and easier on your body with this tilting design. So the one caveat, now with the fatter tires, is this is a 16-inch by four-inch front, 20-inch by four-inch rear. And on the standard tire, you've got the 16-inch by 2.125 in the front and a 20-inch by 2.125 in the rear. Now both have 750-watt rear hub motors. The standard one has a 10.4 amp-hour battery, and the fat tire has a 20 amp-hour battery with Samsung cells. So if you're looking for more range and more ability to take on off-road, you want to look to the fat tire one, but if you're looking to zip around town, this one's nimble with the smaller tires, and you can see they both can balance without kickstands, but we do have the kickstand on here. Just to help out. So you could see right here, I can pull it up, and it balances.

Now, you cannot sit on this without having a foot down on the ground. Balancing it without having a foot down is nearly impossible. But like I said, the bike or trike itself can balance without the kickstand. Let me put this one up. We're on a little bit of a hill here. There you go. Let me put my parking brake in here. There we go. There, now it won't roll away. So when you lock the brakes in, it can stay upright and balanced. So this is cool for someone who wanna be able to take tight turns and have extra stability, this is a great steering system. If you wanna do off-road or even on streets, you can take turns tighter on this than a two-wheel bike because you've got that extra wheel in the front to help balance. Now you have the option of pedal assist or a throttle. So if you want to zip around and not pedal at all, you can do that. You have the option of a front basket. Also, both of these frames fold, and if you want to see the details of that and fitting in a car, check out our YouTube channel. We've got lots of other videos on these. You can see how we fold it up and take it with us.

Now the fat tire weighs 90 pounds, or 82 pounds, I believe. And this one weighs 72 pounds. So about a 10-pound difference between the two of them. You can take the battery off and reduce the one fat tire by 11 and a half pounds. And it's about seven and a half pounds if you take the battery off this one. So you can reduce the little bit of weight to transport it. Now, this kind of trike feels like you're riding a two-wheel bike more than it feels like you're riding a trike because you have this lean. Now there's no ability to adjust the tension of the fork. So what the lean is and the resistance is, is what it's gonna be. One option you have that we've done as an upgrade on this one is to install a steering dampener to the stem of the headset, which tightens up the steering a little more if you want even tighter steering. But with the fat tire, because of all the rubber on the road, you have a little bit more restriction on the turning. The thinner tires are a little narrower and a little more nimble. So you can get in there and take turns as tight as you can on this one. But with the fatter rubber, it just slows down the turning a little bit. So a little more balance on this one than on this one. But if you're comfortable balancing, it shouldn't be an issue on either one of them. So a little more zippy and nimble, a little more balanced.

Better for off-road. And I'm just going to bring this in for a little bit of a close-up. And again, we have other videos. But again, if you just see here how it can lean fully. And this does take some getting used to because you want to be able to fully trust, you know, what the bike itself is capable of. And you have to find the radius of how much you can turn. Now, you don't ever want to tip it over. That would be a bad idea. But there is a lot of play you have with this. I'll kind of show you just a little bit of a taste. Now, you can see, again, I can make tight, sharp turns, and this is the kind of turning that you can't do on a standard three-wheel tricycle. You can come in here. Whoa. Cut the cone off just a little too much, but you see how tight I can go. And I've ridden this a lot of times. I feel very comfortable. I can zig and zag here. Don't worry about that. Ah! I'll just cut over here. So you can zig and zag. And you actually can lean into the turns. That's like so. And let me just hop on the smaller tire one quick. My parking brake is on. Now again with this one, even more nimble, and it's hard to say which one I like best because I like them both for different reasons, to be honest with you, and you can see I'm using just the throttle, so I got pretty steep on that turn.

And I will say even I, an experienced person, when you start to go steep, you do get a little nervous, but I've never once had the bike tip over me because you really can get it low or take the corners tightly. There you go. That was a sharp turn right there, and if you want to see other videos with tilting steering, I demonstrate specifically how, you know, when you go over a bump, you're going to see, and you can kind of see here, you can see like that, right? If one tire goes up, let me get an object here to fully demonstrate. All right. So we've got a sandbag here now. Not saying you should ride over this stuff, but you can see when you get the tire elevated, this tire stays down. So you basically will always have your two front wheels on the ground. So if you do go over a lot of bumps safely, then it'll roll over safely, and the whole time, that tire is staying down while the other tire is elevating. There you go. And let me show you with the fat tire. Now this one's going to take this on even easier. Let me release my brake. So you'll come up to it. There you go. The tiree comes up. That one stays down. Both wheels never leave the ground. So that's what makes this so good for off-roading trails or just even on the pavement with these four-inch tires on this one specifically, you've got a lot of vibration absorption, and also on trails with that, tilting steering, it's going to take on a lot of the bumps, so you're not going to feel it as much. So, cool, innovative, reverse tilting steering on these two e-trikes.

Also, I've got a lot of other videos on our YouTube channel where I demonstrate and ride these, and other people ride them as well. So check those out. The other thing I wanted to mention is that they both have hydraulic brakes. So, really good stopping power, safe, easy, self-adjusting, and awesome features.
