All right, so today, I've got 11 reasons why this electric trike, a three wheel electric bike, is great for seniors. Before I get into it, hit the subscribe button below. All right, so you're in the market for a three-wheel electric bike and you are a senior, maybe over the age of 55, looking for a tricycle and not sure what you're looking for. Look no further. 11 reasons why this three-wheel e-bike is great for senior riders. Let's get right into it. Okay? Reason number one is the step-through frame right here. You can just step over here and mount the trike and easily get on. So some trikes I see, they're also set a little higher and this bar is higher.

It can be challenging to mount and dismount. If you have any kind of restriction or limitation in your body, you want something that's going to be easy to get on and off of. So a step-through frame is going to be key for you and having something low enough where you can just bring your foot through and step over and you can put on the pedal here and get on very easily. So reason number one is easy mounting and dismounting. When you're looking to get off, just pull your foot through. I see some people when they mount trikes, they try to swing their legs around like this. Can't really do that on a trike, although you can try. I don't recommend it. The safest and easiest way is to do a step-through. Now, if you had a trike or there's a trike that doesn't have a step-through, not a great option in my opinion, again, if you are a senior rider.

Now, segueing into reason number two for this three-wheel e-bike is the riding position. This is another thing. This is going to be a fully ergonomic upright riding position. You can see my back is straight, my arms are relaxed, and the handlebars curve into my body. So this is going to keep me in a very, as I said, relaxed position, with no tension on my arms, no tension on my elbows, and no tension on my lower back. And you're going to want something like that, especially if you've been a trike rider or maybe you're new to trike riding, but now that you're going to have a motor on the back there, you can go farther. So you want to make sure your body is going to be in a comfortable position to allow you to go distances, maybe you've never gone before.

Now, reason number three piggybacks right off of that. This has four custom adjustment points. You can tilt the seat, raise and lower the seat, tilt the handlebars, and raise and lower the stem. Now, again, for a senior rider, if you're dealing with any kind of arthritis or anything like that, these four adjustment points are going to allow those micro-adjustments to dial in this e-trike to your body. So again, you're going to want to be able to get the handlebars just right. So the flexibility to make sure that you're in the position that's best for your body is key, which brings us to reason number four. This large bucket saddle here comes standard, oversized width, it's going to cradle your rear so much better than a narrow thin saddle that comes on a lot of bikes out there, which takes a lot of getting used to and can cause a lot of pain.

This is going to cradle, be super comfortable. The other benefit too, at SixThreeZero, is that it is interchangeable. We have a bigger seat with a backrest, so that's a benefit as well. Reason number five is this large basket in the back here. So this is going to allow you to bring groceries, your dog, you name it, and you can fit up to 50 pounds in here, even more. We put human beings in here for our E-Trike Karaoke, which you can check out on TikTok or Instagram. But the recommended load is maybe 50, 70 pounds. And of course, you have the motor, so you can drive around with it. Make it easy.

I see a lot of dogs traveling with riders, so this is going to be big enough to fit a dog. You could put a blanket down. We do have basket liners coming out in the near future as well, so that's really, really cool. All right, moving on now to reason number six. Let's get into some electronics, is the front hub 250-watt motor. Now, there are more powerful motors out there. I'm not going to lie. You can get 500 watts, you can get 750 watts. I like 250 watts for the senior recreational rider, who's maybe riding around a community, riding through their town. You're just going to do basic, no huge hills, things like that. The reason I say that is that I've witnessed hundreds of rides of senior riders on trikes and on e-bikes, and you can check out those rides on our YouTube channel.

You can search "Senior." You'll see rides on this very trike here, and 250 watts feels like a lot of power to most riders. And for what most riders are going to do, it's more than enough. You can use the throttle and hit upwards of 14 miles an hour. You can do pedal assist up to 15 miles an hour. So the speed is there, and again, it's not going to feel overwhelming. It's not going to feel jolty, and I believe it will keep riders safe, but also, give you the assistance that you're looking for when you ride. Okay, so moving into reason number seven is the throttle. So a really cool option here is that you have a throttle on this three-wheel, and if you don't want to pedal, you can use the throttle. So now, this becomes a full-on mode of transportation. Pull the throttle, and let the three-wheel e-bike do the work.

You can ride through town. This can be your personal transportation or commuting, whether you're going to your daily exercise class, to the grocery store, going to play pickleball, you name it. If you don't want a pedal, use this as a normal transportation. Pull the throttle and let the three-wheel electric bike do all the work, which segues me into reason eight. It's got the pedal assist. So if you want a pedal, but have the bike do some assistance for you, turn on the assistance, and you've got five levels of assistance, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. So it's really cool. Level one gives you a little bit, so if you just want to feel small assistance, go with that. Or if you want full-on assistance, go to level five. So you have the option here of either no pedaling or peddling, which moves me to reason number nine is you can ride this like a regular tricycle.

So this is like a two-for-one here. You have a seven-speed derailleur. You can shift here, and you have seven gears on a standard bicycle. So if you want to turn the motor off completely, use those gears to get around, pick up a little bit of speed, it's so cool, because you've got one to seven. So if you want to take on light hills and then, you want to go faster, put it into gear seven, you have that option. So this will feel like a normal trike, if you turn the motor off and ride it without any assistance at all, which is, again, like a two-for-one. All right, moving into reason number 10, battery. You've got a 10.4 amp hour battery, which is going to take you, I would say, 15 to 50 miles. I have a video where I just used the throttle on this three-wheel, and I made it over 20 miles.

Check that out on our YouTube channel. So the range is going to be there, and again, it's enough, right? For senior riders, I don't think you need a massive battery, that's going to cost you another three, four, $500. The price point on this is so great and a value-based price point, but you're still going to get the kind of range. Again, ride locally, ride to your pickleball, ride to the grocery store, ride around your community. It's going to give you that 20 to 50-mile range and even more, depending on if you use pedal assistance you turn the motor off a little bit. It doesn't come in just mundane colors. It's not just black and white and silver and gray.

This is one of the colors right here. This is teal. So make a statement, and have something fun. You don't just have to go with the drab, usual color pallets that exist out there. Actually, one bonus reason why I also think this is the best three-wheel electric bicycle for seniors is the tires. These are 2.125-inch tires. So there are other three-wheel e-bikes out there that have three-inch, four-inch tires. Now, with those bigger tires, the steering becomes a little more challenging, not challenging, but there's more resistance, where you have to turn the wheel a little harder. With these wheels, you will not feel that at all, but you still have the width to keep a well-grounded support base of this e-trike when you're riding. And it's enough width to give you cushion and absorb vibration.

So you'll still have a really, really comfortable ride. And again, when you get into three and four-inch tires, it's a different steering experience. It's not going to feel like steering a normal bicycle, and the tires become a factor in turning corners and whatnot. So something to think about. So those are my 11 reasons, plus my one bonus reason.
