Questions & Answers

I am 5 11, 165 lbs, 57 years old. I was a runner when younger and competed at high school and Junior college level. I live in a Santa Rosa and ride primarily on concrete bike pathw, city streets and a little bit on flat trails. 90 percent paved bike path n city street. I will be riding for pleasure and exercise, as my knee’s can’t take running anymore. A good workout is important but speed is not. I like sitting upright and not interested in road bike. What do you suggest?

I would 100% recommend the Body Ease, based on everything you are describing. It will be a more spirited ride and will have no stress on your knees, back or shoulders as you sit upright. Plenty of gears for hills, tires are made for paved roads and paths, but can also handle loose gravel and dirt paths just as well.

What is the pedal thread and handle bar diameters? I just ordered a bike from you guys and I'm looking to put on some neon yellow pedals and grips.

Sure thing! Sounds like a great touch. The pedals on this bike, The Around The Block, are 1/2", so any pedal that is designated 1/2" will work. (Bike pedals only come in two sizes-- 1/2" or 9/16"). Grips are easy too. Handlebars on bikes are only available in one diameter at the grip, so any grip you buy will be compatible. If you're curious, all bike handlebars are 3/4" in diameter at the grip, although some handlebars bulge in the center where they are clamped by the handlebar stem.

Are the seats made out of leather? If so, is it possible to swap it with a non-leather seat?

The seats are made of a synthetic material that feels like leather, but is not actual hide leather. You can put any seat you want on the bike, but we may not carry the exact seat that you want. All of our seats from sixthreezero will be made of a synthetic leather material.

So if we purchased a bike and it didn’t meet our expectations can we return no charge or are we responsible for the shipping?

All you will need to do is disassemble the bike by removing handlebars, the pedals, seat, and front wheel. Basically the exact opposite procedure of the assembly and repackage the bike. Place back in the original packaging as best you can, and we will send you a FedEx shipping label. We do what we can to make the process as easy as possible for you.
