Senior Over 60 Shares Experience with Riding Electric Bike

Good morning from the sunny and nice Pacific Northwest. I am Kathy, and this is my Sixthreezero bike, Frida. I'll tell you a little bit about her. I got Frida last fall. We've had some crummy weather, so I haven't been able to ride as much as I'd like. But I am 73. I hadn't ridden a bike in over 50 years. Decided I wanted to get back to bicycling. Did some research. And based on customer service reviews and based on the fact that I liked what I saw and I could comfortably fit the bike to myself, particularly, I liked that a lot.

So this is what I chose. This is a seven-speed e-bike. And I'll show you a little bit about how it works. There's a battery back here. Take it in and out with the key quite easily. Just slides in and out. I take it out when I'm not riding, and take it in the house to charge it. I like that very much. We have a safety light on the back of our bikes. We've added that. We have a camera, a rear-facing camera. The camera part is here. The monitor is up here. That way, we can see what's behind us. We live in a mountainous area. We do have bears, deer, foxes, you name it, we have them, and have seen them on our bicycle rides. So we're very cautious.

We also have bells, these little bells from Sixthreezero, which are so cute. They match the bike. We use those to signal one another. If for any reason you need the other person who's in front or behind, you can signal. We use it to signal traffic or wildlife or dogs, anything we need. Comes in very handy. We have a water bottle holder on the front and I forgot my water this morning. But I didn't ride far, so it's all right. This bike has five speeds, five pedal-assist speeds along with seven gears. I seldom use more than a speed one. I use that on hills. Normally, I leave it at zero, which means I'm peddling all on my own. But I do use the pedal-assist to go uphills because they are very steep.

I can't say enough about the fact that at my age, I could just... It was scary, but I could just get on a bike and ride. I started out riding just short distances until I got used to it and knew I could balance again. And now we seldom ride less than 10 miles. Every ride, we're aiming for 20. We've gotten up to 16 and three quarters. So we're getting there. I can't say enough about Sixthreezero and their customer service. If I have any questions, all I need to do is send an email and I get responses usually within an hour. It's unbelievable. So I encourage everyone who wants to ride, doesn't matter your age, your weight, your height. I'm 5'4", so I'm not real tall. Just go out and have some fun. So happy pedaling.
