Dan: So I'm Dan. I'm 67 years old, and I'm a beginner with the eStyle bikes, and I'm very excited to try this.
Diane: I'm excited for you.
Deb: And I'm Deb, and I'm 66. And I'm also very excited to try them because I've seen them everywhere, and I've been wondering what they feel like to ride, but I'm gonna get to find out.
Diane: Exactly.
Linda: And I'm Linda, and I'm 66 as well. And I'm really excited to be trying an e-bike. I've never been on them before, getting used to them, and yeah, excited to try this one in particular.
Diane: I'm excited for you guys. Let's go for a ride.
Dan: So, do I need to push the red button?
Diane: No.
Dan: Do I need to push any other button?
Diane: No, everything's on. So when you see the lights on the display, then you know it's on.
Dan: The lights are on.
Diane: And then you are also in pedal assist one.
Dan: I am.
Diane: So that means that your throttle is going to work. So if it's not working now, then you do need to press the red button. Somebody must have pushed it. There we go. There you go. All right. All right. Let's go. You ready to roll?
Dan: I'm ready. Let's take off. I'm going to start in pedal assist one.

Let's go around that way. Yeah, we'll go around. But, you know, these are all very stable. I feel very safe. It's not like I have to worry, oh, my God, you know, I'm going to get hit, or I'm going to run somebody over. It's all very maneuverable.
Dan: I know if we had to suddenly stop, we could.
Diane: Yeah. You know what I mean?
Dan: Yeah, you just stop. Exactly. Just like riding a bicycle.
Diane: So you notice that it's kind of windy out here today?
Dan: Yes. Something I didn't consider. I always thought if you want an e-trike, it's really for hills, right? That was my thought coming into it. I don't know if that was your thought.
Diane: But what I discovered is I do my own test rides. You know, think back to when you rode your bike and, like, you'd be like, riding. You're like, oh, I'm an athlete. I'm going so fast without any effort. And then you turn around to go home, and you're riding in the wind. Oh, yeah. So this helps with riding in the wind. Oh, yeah. So what do you want to do now?
Dan: Yeah, you know, let's go into power mode.
Diane: All right. There you go. I'm right behind you.
Diane: It's amazing, isn't it? Look at you. I love it. When you said power mode, you meant power mode. You weren't kidding around. It's got the power. What do you think about the turn radius on that one?
Dan: I love it.
Diane: So I know that you're a fan of the rear drive. The rear drive. Yeah. Yes. So what are your thoughts about this bike overall?

Diane: Are we starting in pedal assist, or are you starting manually?
Dan: Well, I think we're going to have to start in pedal assist because it's in fifth gear. Okay. So...
Diane: You can use the throttle.
Dan: Oh, you can use the throttle too. Okay. Now, is this one...
Diane: I think that's a thumb throttle. Okay. Do you see that's a little one on your left-hand side? Do you see the throttle or no? Okay, so somebody might have pushed the button off. Let's see if it works now. And it's here, right? Yeah. Let me try this again. I still want you to run over my... Are you in pedal assist? Yeah. Try it now. Okay. There you go. So there's actually like a kill switch on there.
Deb: This is nice. So, you know, it has the forward pedal that you like. Uh-huh. Yeah. What do you think about the handlebars and everything? Like, what are your thoughts compared to the other ones that you've ridden?
Linda: Compared to the one we just rode, I prefer this one. I like having a regular seat, actually, as comfortable as that is to have, because I think I want it to feel more like riding a bike.
Linda: Yeah. I like this. Plus you're sitting upright as opposed to forward. So that in itself lends itself to being a little bit more comfortable. And I find, too, that I try to maintain the same gear with each of them. And with this one being in third and using the beginning pedal assist, it's like a nice one-to-one sync of what you really want. Now I just went into two.

Blows me away.
Linda: And you're essentially almost keeping the same cadence. Yes. Or effort. This, to me, has had the best one-to-one of feeling like my pedaling to the ratio of, you know, whatever the pedal assist is going to kick in.
Diane: Yeah. And you're a little bit lower, I think, than you'd probably prefer to be. Yes. So I think you'd probably enjoy it even more if you were up a little higher. I'm glad you enjoyed that.
Linda: I did a lot. I think this might have moved into the number one spot.
Diane: This slid into number one? Yeah, I think so. I love it. Thanks for letting me go with you.
Linda: Thank you. I really appreciate it. Yeah.

Diane: Okay. So you're going to be a little bit lower on this one, but you have the forward pedal, so it should feel a little bit more comfortable to you than the other one. Does it?
Linda: Yeah, it's good.
Diane: Yeah?
Linda: So do these handlebars adjust?
Diane: They do. What would you like to do?
Linda: I'm good, but I was just asking because sometimes...
Diane: Yeah, they all adjust. So they come up, they go down, and they can come farther forward. So ergonomically, you can be in the most comfortable position that you want to be. I think because of time, we're not adjusting it.
Linda: No, no, I understand.

Linda: I feel like I should go shopping.
Diane: Well, you know what? You've got my basket. Your basket's behind you. How are we starting today? Okay, we are in two. So let's go to one. You want to go to one? All right. Look at her, she's doing the backward pedal to get it off. Doesn't it give you your, your childhood back?
Linda: It does.
Diane: You know, when I was test riding, I felt the same way. I'm like, oh my gosh, I had my freedom back. Right. Because you don't have to rely on your energy for the day, or let's say that your leg is sore, but you still want to get out for a ride. You can do that now. This is fun this is
Diane: And we're just riding around a parking lot. Imagine if we were like...
Linda: On the road.
Diane: Out on the road. Thank you. Thank you. I know you. We're going to get on this back way, and you're going for it. Are you going to go for it with a throttle, or are you going to go for it with a pedal assist?
Linda: Let's use the legs.
Diane: You want to use the legs? All right. So you're going to go up to pedal assist five.
Linda: What? Oh my gosh.
Diane: Click up to five.
Linda: Wow. Right? Wow.
Diane: So the higher the pedal assist, the faster you're going to go. That's amazing. The amount of power behind the pedal assist is insane, isn't it? That's great. That's the first time we've used that. I didn't realize there was that much power. I know. I got up to five. So now you're still in pedal assist five, so you're going to go that fast.

Diane: So what are your thoughts about this bike?
Linda: This is much more comfortable. The seat is much more comfortable. It doesn't, it doesn't hit me underneath. So yeah, this one I can do, and I, whoop- I love this.
Diane: You love the basket.
Linda: I love the basket. I have put my dog in there.
Diane: You know what? They have all sorts of different accessories here. So you could get, you could set it up like this one and get the rearview mirror. You could put another basket in the front. You can put a little canopy over. There are a lot of options.
Linda: I know. Who needs a car?
Diane: I know, right? Exactly. Okay. Thanks for letting me ride this with you.

Diane: So we just finished our test ride on the Relaxed Body E-Trike. What did you think?
Deb: Well, gosh, it's going to be so hard to choose between all of them because they're all so fantastic and fun. So I found this one really comfortable. And once again,
Deb: I put it in pedal assist for the first time, and I went up to five, and I didn't realize how fast it was gonna go. So that was kind of like, what a little thrill there. The adrenaline. I feel like a little girl riding these bikes.
Diane: I love that. I love that you said that. When I was test riding, I felt the same way. I'm like, oh my gosh, I'm not restricted by my age anymore. Yes.
Deb: What did you think?
Linda: You know, I didn't know how I was going to feel because of the ones that we were doing before. You know, you had the different seats or whatever. I found, actually, I loved this one. I liked sitting upright more. I liked where my arms were, and everything just seemed to blend so well.
Linda: This moved up to number one for me.
Diane: This is her number one. You, you liked, you prefer the forward pedal.
Linda: I do. And I also, and this is something as I get older, I'm thinking about a lot. On a road bike, you worry about being seen. All right. With the trike and the wider back, it sort of sets your mind at ease a little that people are going to recognize you're on the road. You've got a little protective barrier in the back.

So you've got to give yourself a little bit more space when you're maneuvering through a turn. What did you think?
Dan: Well, I do enjoy this bicycle seat. It's a very comfortable bicycle seat. I like the handlebars. It reminds me of the old Stingray when I was in my youth. I like the carrier in the back.
Dan: Just in case you have your pet or you have, let's say, groceries or something, you've got a little hands-free with that. You don't have to worry about it. So yes, you know, I do enjoy this bike. Oh, and the going uphill, you don't, when you're pedaling your bicycle, you have to stand up and put yourself into it as to where this, you just use the electric drive, and you don't have to stand up and work hard.
Diane: Have you ever, like, almost come to a complete standstill when you were standing on the bike?
Dan: Oh my gosh. You have to, you have to zigzag to, if you can't go straight up the hill, you have to zigzag. Exactly. And that zigzagging on the road is dangerous. It is dangerous.
Diane: So you can just go straight up the hill using the e-power. It's like, it's like you have your freedom back, right? To do any terrain. Freedom and safety.
Diane: Exactly. Especially as we get older. I know. We need the safety because nobody wants us falling off a bike at our age. I know. And you know, I'm in my sixties as well. I never know how I'm going to wake up. I don't know when I come out of bed, like you wake up, right. And you're like, Oh, why does my knee hurt? No idea. But I can still go for a bike ride if I want to. It doesn't make me have to stay in the house all day. And I love the freedom that we get from e-bikes and e-trikes. The wind in your hair and the sun at your back.
Deb: We were talking about that as well a little bit on our ride is that, like, initially when you think e-trike, you're like, okay, it'll help me with speed; it'll help me get up a hill, but it also helps on a windy day when you're riding back into the wind, and it's like, oh my gosh.
Linda: Yeah, on a regular bike, headwinds, you like pray you don't have a headwind, especially if you're finishing a long ride. You don't have to worry about that at all with this.
